The mask seller is too evil for an feel good/heart-warming anime like this. He straight up ruined some people's life by taking advantage of their life problems and stole their lifespan. And now he went after kids cuz they have bigger lifespan?
I was hoping for him to say at the end that he did all this so that muge will learn to love her life for what it is and see everyone in different view.
But nah. he was just a evil mf. lol

Honestly When my little brother was in my room for 3 min he was scared about the mask seller. And I’m not gonna lie I’m scared too but overall he was not a bad character or something he did his thing

I thought the mask seller was a good point of the Anime, it brought in some much needed hardship in a movie that was otherwise pretty bland, if it was a straight up slice of life this anime wouldn’t have had much to offer imo, and personally i’d hate the cheesy “it was to make you realize” its very overdone in anime and some characters need to be straight up bad.

I wish there was a backstory where like it happened to him and he wanted revenge but cold never find the guy who did it to him so did it to others
