Why is Shirou so annoying?

Exactly my thought when I first watched this F/SN anime version of Shirou. He'll be an asshole until the end of the anime. However, because I experinced the shit version of him, I started to like him when I was watching UBW. In the end of Heaven's Feel, I really like him. He's in my favorite character list now.

I have only watch fate stay night and made me hate fate series.
Like shiro is most hateable mc ever.
Even more irritable than rent a girlfriend mc.
Drop the stay night and watch other version.

If we're talking about the anime, it is objectively better. The visual, the pacing, and the explanations of some of the lore. The story is slightly change, it's like a "what-if" story of F/SN, but definitely more interesting as the adaptation itself is already much better than F/SN.

Well, it's coming from a guy who likes this series, probably biased so don't quote me on that.

Thank you, I think I’ll still watch F/SN before UBW but it gives me hope that there’s a non shit version of him out there.

Shirou is really annoying, both in Fate route and in UBW route, but HF's Shirou is so much better that it made him one of my favorite male characters.

Felt the same exact way, watching him in F/SN made him really annoying and unlikeable. But after watching the other routes made him more likeable.

Yeah he’s pretty annoying in this 2006 version. However, in UBW and Heavens Feel he’s like so much better.
