An official website for the television anime adaptation of Souichirou Yamamoto's Soredemo Ayumu wa Yosetekuru (When Will Ayumu Make His Move?) manga opened on Tuesday, revealing the main staff and a teaser visual (pictured). The anime series will premiere in July 2022 on TBS and additional stations.

Staff
Director: Mirai Minato (Masamune-kun no Revenge)
Series Composition: Deko Akao (Hitomi Mieno) (Hige wo Soru. Soshite Joshikousei wo Hirou.)
Character Design: Kazuya Hirata (Itai no wa Iya nano de Bougyoryoku ni Kyokufuri Shitai to Omoimasu.)
Studio: SILVER LINK.

Soredemo Ayumu wa Yosetekuru revolves around social interactions between first-year Ayumu Tanaka and second-year Urushi Yaotome at their illegitimate Shogi club, where Urushi is the president.

Yamamoto first published the manga on his Twitter account as Shougi no Yatsu in April 2018. The anime adaptation was announced in January of this year to commemorate the 60th anniversary of Weekly Shounen Magazine, where Yamamoto has serialized the manga since March 2019. Kodansha published the seventh volume on April 16.

Kodansha Manga licensed the manga in English in March and plans to release the first volume on September 21.

don't expect a lot of development for this series save it for the times you want to watch something cute and relax

Wait a year or most, and we'll be fine.

LOL wait! I remember some time ago that this was announced to air on 2022, so I believed it would be coming on Winter 2022. Never imagined that it would actually be Summer 2022 instead, so that's going to be a long wait before I could see this. Hah. Haha. Ha. Ha. Ha. Ok then...

Reading the manga and can say that I don't look forward to this. The manga is slow and same sh*t happens all the time. But maybe they'll change things. I'll check it out either way.
Instead of being reincarnated thanks to a truck...
1. A granny on a moped. <-- Yeah, just found one manga with that kind of plot. Weird. xD
2. Beaten to death by a thug due to debt thanks to nasty ex wife. <-- From a new LN.
