WOW after watching this a few days ago i gotta say it's the best cgi anime there is. i dont hate cgi but i usually dont watch it, but damn even if u hate cgi you'll prob love this

I thought this movie was pretty good. I was also planning to watch the anime series...but damn...it's so long and old. Probably watch it sometimes later.

Lupin III was mostly episodic during it's earlier parts, and doesn't require you to start from any particular part. Since you've already seen this movie, I would recommend starting with Part IV (2015), which contains longer form story arcs and requires no prior knowledge to watch.

This is the second most popular and second highest rated Lupin movie (after Cagliostro) so i wouldn't say this specifically is underrated, Lupin franchise in general is (but yes animation-wise it was fantastic)
