It was quite sad that Oono had to move away, but it wasn't something that he could control. Lol at Maruko accidentally getting on the train. |

| I wonder which parts Yuasa was involved with (I strongly suspect the opening dancing sequence at the very least). Those imaginative scenes during Oono and Sugiyama's performance reminded me of Eizouken. Maruko even kinda looks like Asakusa lol (those hats!). Maybe Yuasa subconsciously picked the manga due to her design being similar to his work from the past... xD Anyway, nice movie, though not quite as great as "My favourite song" It's interesting that both Maruko-chan movies (this and the 1992 one) deal with separation. P.S. Tatsuo Satou, a future Yuasa collaborator on Cat Soup, also worked on the movie. Cool. |
