| Kamina is literally what all the characters aspire to be to the very end of the show. Even Simon just becomes Kamina 2.0. Every anime Imaishi and Nakashima have made since GL has had a Kamina in it. How many Kittans have there been since? The man has his own spin off manga. He's in less than half of the series and is still the most popular character. |

| Kittan is the Obi wan kenobi of Gurren Lagann, not the hero, not as inherently talented as the main heros, maybe not even as important to saving the galaxy and yet non-the-less he's there with our heros time and time again despite his short comings. That is all to say I love both of them but it's kittan who's story brings me closer to manly tears |

| I like Kamina but damn this guy was so stupid, i was surprised he even survived 8 episodes. Kittan was for a longer time part of the story and had a better development. But for me its still Kamina > Kittan |
