When Does it Get Better?

I've just finished chapter 52 and I'm thinking about dropping this. Does it get better? I have friends giving this 7-8 so perhaps it gets better later?

Well, I'm on Volume 7 and I'm really enjoying it.
It's not your typical shonen where you get lots of battles and adrenaline and stuff. It's a more character driven thing, with good sci-fi material, a little bit of super hero, a little bit of suspense.

It's not for everyone. But I'm glad it's for me so far

I forget exactly why but as the manga went on it lost its focus and made me really not enjoy it anymore

A piece of general advice .If you dont like a series even a little from the first lets say 5 chapters, then drop it. There is little chance that you will enjoy it later on.You read 50 chapters of something you didnt like ,isnt that a waste? Drop it ,it's just not for you buddy.

It doesn't lose focus it just has alot going for it that ties into the story nicely. May not be instant but I can say it ties in greatly.

And yeah I took notes, one said 'chapter 10-60: slow', another was '83&84 were nice'
I just read through it all in one go because the chapters weren't that long anyways. It really felt like Batman: The Dark Knight imo.

Cuando estaba en los primeros capítulos también pensé en abandonar la lectura. Pero dije "mejor no. La obra tiene muchas recomendaciones, muy buen puntaje, y excelente calidad artística". Terminé de leerla y confirmo que tuve que dejarla al principio. Razón? Te quedás esperando una conclusión que nunca llega. Esperás que los personajes maduren, que la situación se estabilice y que la trama tenga un rumbo. Todo eso aparece recién en el último capítulo. El último capítulo se siente como el primero de una secuela, una secuela que nunca tuvimos, ya que hace 11 años terminó el manga.

I read 149 chapters and found the story to be very drawn out. It doesn't go anywhere, nothing really relevant happens. I feel like I wasted my time reading this crap

Worst advice of all time. Many stories build up from its first five chapters. There are so many narratives that are completely different and developed in its 5th volume from its 5th chapter.

I'm pretty sure build up doesnt mean not enjoyable .If u dont like the build up at all,u probably wont like the result as well.
