How much of a harem will this be?

I really can't stand harem and romance in the same room but the anime looks interesting so I gotta ask, are all the girls vying for his seed or is there only one girl and the rest are basically retainers who respect the mc?

A princess , a dark elf, a descendent of sea dragon, a Ryu ( Japanese dragon or Chinese) are part of his harem, it may increase and a dragon kin ( as a slave)

the guy has like five wives by the first 5 books
but it does have some kingdom building
and no OP MC like in many isekai
but mostly harem

There's 5 girls but the romance. harem elements are kind of the second point of the story, with the kingdom building and leading being more focused on. If they adapt it well enough you should be able to enjoy it. But it's still the second point of the story, so it might not be your favorite series out there.

Don't worry compared to other harem this one is very decisive cuz he actually did marry them and even had kids but as others have said, it is secondary because anime probably won't reach there.

Let's see, it probably ends with 4 fiancees at the end of the anime. He accepted them all decisively without any excessive fan-services and dense moments, at least in the novel. But you are right that most of them just fell in love with him without any deep reasons, though 2 of them are justified enough because it falls upon political marriage category

The harem aspect is rather interesting in this series. The girls aren't in your face like in the Arifureta series. For the most part, the girls are just there to be his wives for political reasons.

I like dub more than sub because I am not a weeb.

Their kingdom follows a realist standpoint in marriage unlike our world's marriage rules filled with a lot of agendas from religion and politics. If you have the means to provide for your harem and future family then it is accepted. He's a King he doesn't have any problems in that department

The Harem story is just a backseat plot to the worldbuilding I mean Kingdom Building

Try It And In The light novel I read till Volume 3 The Romance and Harem Are Like A break From the Storyline Wars and stuff . It's Simple Romance Well earned By the Hard working King Kind of till now
