How can I introduce goblin slayer to friends?

I'm wanting to introduce goblin slayer to my friends and watch it with them but I'm not good at persuasion. Can I get some tips on how I can persuade my friends into watching it?

There's not much to really say about this anime other than a high ranked adventurer that only says goblins with a pinch of dark scenes here and there.

What’s there to warn em about...only episode 1 is “dark”. If they can get past the first ep there shouldn’t be a problem from there on.

If they wouldn't appreciate it then dont reccomend it. People have reccomendations so screwed up. You dont reccomend a show because YOU like it. You reccomend a show because you think YOUR FRIEND would like it.

If i was in your place i wouldnt introduce the anime to my friends, because i have none. But i guess this anime would be very fun to watch together. You should just say that its a very fun bloody action “movie” with an OP mc who slays mystical creatures all over the world. That would get me into this.

My advice, get you some anime fan friends. Its more difficult to get someone into what youre into, than it is to make friends with someone thats already into it.

You want to share common and mutual interest with the people you care about, or who are closest to you, i get it. But this is an example of where you would expand your pool of friends, because even if your friends get into it for your sake. They wont appreciate the show as you do, and it wont be the same as sharing that common interest with someone who is genuinely into it and appreciate the show as you do.

However if youre still determined to try to get them into it, my suggestion would be to throw a overnight watch party binger where everyone shares shows with each other and you take turns watching each others suggestions with each other.

You can even have them download MAL and make accounts to start tracking their progress to help motivate them to keep watching. After showing them your MAL im sure they have some anime they have watched before that they would like to add to their own accounts aswell and you can use Goblin Slayer as a starting point for them during the watch party.

Another option would be to bribe them, like tell them you will give them a dollar for every episode they watch with you.

But really the direct and honest approach will tell you everything you need about how worth it, it is to try. If you just say, "hey this is one of my favorite shows and i want you to watch it with me because i want you to get into it too." If they dont respond well, then i dont think its worth the effort.

Warn them about the controversial stuff and mention the character develop of goblin slayer, priestess and his party I noticed when trying to show my friends they expected it to be shit when in reality the show is pretty damn good when you look at development of the plot characters and story

Tell them to skip episode 1 and come back to it at after they finish it. That or tell them to read the manga or LN. Warn them about the tone shifts it has and do give them a TW about sexual assault. If it's their first dark fantasy show or anime it could immediately turn them off from it

In my opinion, the best way to get to know a new anime (especially if it is action driven) is to find a badass AMV on youtube. This should work for introducing your friends to a new anime as well.
