| As the title mentions, this story does not make sense; to be honest I'm willing to go as far as to call it complete rubbish! my reason for that is due to the MC, Rudeus. Starting from episode 1, we are introduced to Rudeus's original 34 year old self in Japan. In this form, Rudeus is obese, unattractive, and is practically the definition of a stereotypical otaku. Now, this is where the problem happens. Rudeus is 34 years old. That's right 34. THIRTY FOUR! And they made it loud and clear that he was a virgin and never even had any contact with a member of the opposite sex so he should've been a WIZARD, and a pretty powerful one at that! Therefore, putting this into consideration, Rudeus should already have been a much more powerful mage in his previous life compared to his reincarnated counterpart so I'm just wondering why he didn't reshape his body to be a bishounen or just healed himself after he got hit by a truck? |

Either his power was not strong enough or he didn't realise that he had powers. There are quite a few possibilities as to why he didn't utilise his power at the time of his death. If he had enough power in the first place he could join the Magic Association on earth and get paid pretty well, or do random commissions online through the Sorcerer Message Board. However, it could also be his trauma preventing him from going outside and hindering the growth of his magic. This is the most plausible explanation as it was never explained really well in the novel. |

Wizards isn't the same as mage, sure in his old world he's becoming a 'wizard' but that's just a title from Japanese forum for some men who haven't lose his virginity by the the time they reach 30s. Though whether or not they have some kind of special power still unknown to many people. |
