Now that's how you do a pilot. I really hope the rest of the series satisfies. That was a real hell of a start, and if the rest isn't good, I'll still recommend this single episode as a stand alone masterpiece. Wtf.

A first chapter that made me shed some tears, I was impressed by the story because of how beautiful it is... and apparently in the next chapter, this anime will make you shed many tears.

This was one of the most Beautiful, stunning, and Powerful episodes I've ever got the pleasure of watching. I've watched it multiple times and I cry every single time. Such raw emotions, such incredible connection to these characters that you just met. I know this was an episode 1, but this was a short film. And an AMAZING short film. I will always recommend this show (specifically this first episode), but with the warning that it will make you feel things. Bittersweet, but undeniably beautiful. I have to put this show down but because it's too good. I don't think I can handle what else this beautiful series has to offer. I know I use that word "beautiful" a lot in this, but I truly mean it. Watch this episode, and you'll see what I mean.
