Lower rating the redo of healer

I didn’t read the manga but as an anime watcher and someone who loves the first season I don’t see the reason of the hate on season 2 it wasn’t as good as season 1 but really worse the redo of healer? I don’t see that

Redo of Healer didn't have any high expectations. It's revenge fantasy and it does that. It's just like School Days: many people think the story itself is trash, but it never advertised itself as anything different. (The School Days visual novel was infamous for its violent bad endings.)

TPN S2 is about to go down as the most disappointing anime of all-time. The score drop from S1 to S2 is now worse than the previous holder, Kemono Friends. (S1: 7.57; S2: 5.87) TPN S2 isn't the worst anime. There are plenty of shows which have a worse story, or worse technical presentation. But given the overall acclaim for S1, S2 is just a complete dump, and the contrast between the two seasons is astonishing.

I actually find Redo Of Healer to be better than TPN season 2 which I never thought I'd say.

I gave up on character of the week since it takes too much thinking. I'll just change my forum pfp to whoever I want every week lol.

It’s because there are no expectations for something like Redo of Healer, but TPN S2 had such high expectations that it didn’t achieve, which made everyone disappointed and mad, and frankly, it deserves it. There was no logical reason why TPN S2 was so bad, it was just for manga sales, which only adds salt to the wound.

To be fair, Redo of Healer doesn't (or at this point, didn't) have as big of a fanbase that TPN had. The massive hype generated from TPN S1 was obviously going to garner more fans than the controversy Redo of Healer built from Twitter users.

I'm not a fan of Redo of Healer either, but it's not fair to compare the ratings of two shows with drastically different numbers in watchers. Obviously TPN is going to have lower ratings because more people didn't like it.

One is a beloved show with a butchered adaptation and the other is actually a decent adaptation for its viewers, fans and haters alike. It's not surprising, given that Redo can actually be enjoyed by many of the viewers that actually want to enjoy it lmao!

To me, this is a moral question rather than a question of quality. Redo of Healer is “trash” in the sense that it is bad depending on how you feel about depictions of rape, and I would say that the other ways it is bad can be considered camp. Promised Neverland S2 is bad in terms of storytelling and adaptation on every level, with no sense of self -awareness (why would it, it was supposed to be actually good) representing a very different type of “trash.”

The difference is that Re-do of a Healer is just a very unpleasant story, but at least it achieves what it wanted to achieve... Not something I'd watch, but it does its job.

TPN Season 02 is just failure after failure. It didn't intend to be garbage... It just completely failed at story-telling.

Maybe because you are anime only manga readers are pissed because all the great stuff they skipped and how terribly executed and rushed the anime was so the rating is deserved. Also I’ve heard some staff don’t even want to be credited because of how bad the anime was.

Nobody expects anything good from redo after the first couple of episodes it showed its colours. More like a fucked up comedy for me. For TPN, it has a fairly good story and season 1 was really serious and build alot of expectations. It didn't do the manga justice or as a alone standing season 2. People compare it to fma, with its anime original end, let me say its not even close to that.

I’d be a bit more generous and say TPN had a couple decent episodes early on. The ending was just absolute trash. Healer on the other hand started interesting, got a bit boring in the middle, but has improved more recently since the crossdressing episode. It’s just so stupid it’s funny, unintentional best comedy of the season.

TPN2 has a higher rating than Dies Irae. Dies Irae was a better, more entertaining show, with less plot holes and inconsistencies than TPN2
