Will we ever get season 2?

It was so good, and ended with so much potential for more stories and development. I would be so happy if there was a second season. The characters, themes, drama, and comedy are all so good. The ops and eds were also very enjoyable. I loved the shows ability (whether at the very beginning or 70 episodes in) to introduce a new character and make you care about them and their back story. If there was any way to crowd fund more episodes I’d gladly do it.

The anime stopped because it caught up with the manga. It is still a nice anime and believe me these 99 episodes are worth watching.

I think there is a chance that we could get a season 2. There's a YouTube channel for Space Brothers and a few months ago they had the voice actors of Mutta, Hibito and Serika voice act some of the scenes that are currently manga-only. They also have some partially animated (moving manga panels) for the 6 months challenge videos they have. Also, under many of the recent videos, there are Japanese comments saying they want a second season which have been liked by the channel owner.
