| I am smooth brain so I never really formed the the themes of becoming an adult when I watched FLCL but I can kinda see the clues. I remember as a kid watching like only 2 episodes, the baseball and the school play, multiple times on Toonami past midnight but never being able to watch the others. In High School, I managed to watch it and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Especially the ED with the camera attached to a Vespa and driving around to take real pictures. Year or two later, Progressive and Alternative came out. Honestly, this is a hot take but I liked Alternative more than Progressive. But, regardless, they are both inferior when it comes to the OG. |

| Flcl has a 24 episode worth of story packed in 6 episodes. It's great and ofcourse the soundtrack is the best |

| Its an anime you watch merely for the "experience" of it all. I thought it was solid and it did not waste my time. 8 outta 10. Would recommend if you haven't seen it. Only 6 episodes long. |

| I personally didn't enjoy FLCL at all. I'm not a huge fan of random things happening for the sake of randomness although I loved Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo, but FLCL just didn't do it for me. Gave it a 4/10 since I couldn't get invested in any of the characters or the "plot". |

| I watched a few months ago so I may be missing out on something.. I enjoyed it overall, because basically I love watching things by turning off my brain, that's the only way I thought I could watch FLCL anyway. But at times especially in the first half, it engaged or connected to me only sporadically, though I could appreciate the animation and whatever was happening on the screen. Animation is the best thing about this show. I didn't enjoy the soundtrack as much :p ..Honestly, I didn't see the hype until somewhere in the second half where it all made sense (well, to an extent - but that has always been a far less concern in my viewing of any media). More importantly it felt engaging. But somehow, it didn't feel "wow", maybe my hopes got high from the hypes on the internet. I gave it an 8 last year when I watched it, but now I feel a 7.5.. or 7.3 :p |

| I'm long overdue a rewatch but it started me into properly interpreting the text and its metaphors on the virtue of being so blunt with it so I appreciate it for that. I wonder if I'd like it less for being so blunt and not being in the adolescent headspace nowadays. |

| I saw this show like 10-12 years ago, I didnt like it a bit, I decided to rewatch it and after doing it, I must say FLCL is one of the worst animes ever made, the soundtrack of this feels like American Pie, the sexual abuse agaisnt a minor, the excesive fanservice and sexual references, most of adults act like sex offender or drug users, over the top cartoonish scenes. This one of the few animes that I feel embarrassed to watch, I dont see how any 16+ years old person would like this and by the way, there has been better coming-of-age stories in this media. Enough said, this anime is a shame for all the community. |

| Watch it while drinking guys, I'm not kidding, it's amazing Edit: After watching it for a second time, despite the constant shithousery it's themes are very well done and relatable, an amazing and mature coming of age story, but it's probably way beyond the level of the average anime watcher today. And that makes it all the better lol. |
