Back in my younger days, I do write a two line sentence and a few wanted me to go in depth. Yes, I could of write a sentence or two but I feel its more of a broad answer and I am not telepathy to think what is on the person's mind and vice versa For example: User1: Why do you like this character? Answer1: She is funny and hard worker, trying her best to improve herself. Answer2: She is funny because the way she smiles it reminds me of a yandere face and laughs like Yagami Light.In one of the scenes....... and so on. Sometimes I don't even realise it until I notice their comment section has a massive essay lol |

| To answer the OP, I would say: 1) The fact that the trending forum threads are almost always negative 2) The fact that MAL users don't seem to care for more interesting/unique thread topics & only the threads with the same reoccurring topics/are more ordinary will receive lots of replies. And then they complain about how the forums are boring -__- For example this thread I made hardly got any replies or even votes (which should be easier to obtain): https://myanimelist.net/forum/?topicid=1877983 But I think part of it is probably that I'm not very good at coming up with thread ideas. |

It is nice to see someone who shares a similar writing as mines and I am happy to discuss with you. Back in the MAL days, it was full of essays comments.
