| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- before this episode, I was definitely not a Gonda fan, he kind of grew on me! all I can think about is how his beloved pompadour was a mess! but Gonda doesn't care! he just wanted to make the old man proud, even if it was at the expense of his beloved pompadour. Eguchi came in and saved the day~ like the bad ass he is. |

| Amazing episode, the best one so far in my opinion. I was so invested in the boxing plot that 50 minutes flew by like nothing. Gonda was very hateable in the first episode but now I've really warmed up to him. I love it when anime sideline the main cast for a bit to give side characters some development. There's so much potential here and ShoBaku took that chance to tell a moving story in just under an hour. |
