| I recommend the original series, but not the movie End of Evangelion, which I regret watching. (Unless maybe if you watch it before the final two episodes of the TV series...? That's an idea I wonder might work but I can't go back and try it.) (I haven't watched the rebuild series, though I know they change some things.) |

| they might as well be different stories think of the Rebuilds as some sort of different universe/timeline so might as well watch the original TV series if you only want to pick one show to watch, the End of Evangelion movie i think is another timeline too or a different ending than the TV series ending |

| You need to watch "the end of evangelion" movie , is the original end of the series, it even has the episode 25 and episode 26 distribution in the format . People can not skip that, even if tgey dont like it, the the original canon ending and even if people lack to undertsand, complements the series ending, cuz the things that happen on those episodes are happen AT the ssme time in real life Just watch the originak series + the movie . And if you want watch the rebuilds... but remember the ending or last movie hasnt aired yet, and still has no date so you will be pending for an ending on those, i suggest to wait and watch the rebuilds ONLY if the movie air in japan |

| Original makes "more sense" plot-wise but I think neglects developing the characters. It just throws the characters on you. Rebuilds develop the characters and their relationships better. So I give rebuilds 7/10 and original 6/10. xD |

| I've only seen the first rebuild movie (I plan on finishing them eventually) so I can't speak with as much confidence as other people but you should watch the OG first. If you liked the og, you should check the out rebuilds afterwards |

| The original is absolutely essential and one of anime's most important shows. The rebuilds are cool too and worth watching, but are a great deal less substantial. |
