#1 Theme: In Like a Lion, Out Like a Lamb Colors: Spring Blossom Pink, Lion's Mane Gold Items:
Watch an anime that has at least one scene that takes place in winter or that has a cold-bloodedcharacter. They say that March comes in like a lion because the it starts out as a cold winter month. Say goodbye to the season by watching a show that has at least once scene that takes place in winter, or features a cold-blooded character.

Watch an anime with a time-skip or a character that has an animaltransformation. March is about the growth and transition from winter to spring. Watch an anime that shows characters growing and changing through the passage of time or through their physical appearance.

Watch an anime that features a character who is a professional in their field, or is on their way to by being an apprentice. Much like how Rei Kiriyama is a professional shogi player in the show “March Comes in Like a Lion”, watch an anime that features a character who is also a professional or on their way to becoming one.

Watch an anime that is heart-warming, or that has at least one scene that takes place in spring. While March came in like a lion, it comes out like a lamb. To signify the gentle, hopeful nature that spring brings, watch an anime that is heart-warming or has at least one scene that occurs during the spring.

#2 Theme: Spring in Bloom Colors:Orchid & Hot Pink Items:
Watch anime that began airing in Spring Season — Spring season of any year (Apr, May, Jun).
Watch anime that has a Hanami episode Flower viewing in Japan from March to May when the sakura blooms.

Watch anime with a character wearing a Flower accessory — Can be either main or supporting. State the character used. Must be listed under the tag or the accessory must be clearly visible on their MAL portait.
Watch anime with a Pink-haired character — Can be either main or supporting. State the character used. Must be listed on MAL. Hair must be solid pink, no highlights or multicolored hair.
#3 Theme: 行き当たりばったり"Ikiataribattari (Random)" March Colors:Thinking Blue and Dreaming Red Items:
Watch an anime with a Brave or a Passionate character. "Using the power of hard work and guts as well as their determination, they [...] come out on top through sheer force of will...". We should do the same on this hard times.

Watch an anime with a Dreamworld Trip episode. We all need to disconnect from reality sometimes...

#4 Theme: February's Over, Take a Breath Colors:Stress Relief Green and Oxygen Blue Items:
Watch an award-winning series. Use a series listed under Anime Relations of the 「Anime」 Award Winning Works club. Breathe in. The Highlighted Challenge is over. It can't hurt you anymore. Feel proud of yourself for watching so many series last month. Celebrate the awards you received.
— Must be listed under the club's related series.
Watch a special or a movie. Breathe out. Clear your mind. Watch something short and self-contained.
Watch a series related to a series you've previously watched. Breathe in again. Reconnect with that series you haven't watched in a while. Find joy in seeing familiar characters and settings again.
— State the previously watched series. The series chosen for this challenge must show the previously watched series under Related Anime on its MAL page. The previously watched series should be completed before the series chosen for this challenge is started.
Watch a series that meets one of the requirements of the 5th Anniversary Challenge. And breathe out. Now you move forward. A new challenge awaits you. You will succeed.

🤞 Watch an anime that began airing in a year ending in 3 or 7. Both 3 and 7 have long been considered lucky numbers.
🐰 Watch an anime with an animal character. Many animals are considered lucky charms, including cats, lady bugs, swallows, pigs, white elephants, and even fish.
— Can be main or supporting; State the character; Must be listed on MAL. Must be a real animal and not a fictional creature.
🍀 Watch an anime with a character with green eyes or hair. Many plants are also considered good luck as well, including bamboo, some types of mushrooms, acorns, and of course a four-leaf clover.
— Can be main or supporting; State the character; Must be listed on MAL. Hair must be solid green, no highlights or multicolored hair.
🐎 Watch an anime with the letter "u" in the title. Horseshoes are often hung above doorways in order to ward off bad luck.
— Must be the official MAL title. Letter can be anywhere in the title.
#6 Theme: Words, Words, Words Colors:Literature, Blue and Faded Paper Beige Items:
Watch an anime with Narration or Literature. — Must be listed under either tag. Specify which.
Watch an anime based on a Novel or Light Novel. — Must be listed under the Source field on MAL.
Watch an anime that has 10 reviews or less. — Screenshots are HIGHLY recommended. Series must have 10 reviews of less as of 1st March, 2021.
Watch an anime with a long title. — Main anime title here on MAL that has 5 words or more; each word must be separated by a space.
#7 Theme: Pi Day Colors:Binary Green & Calculator Grey Items:
Watch an anime that began airing on the 14th day of any month/year. Pi Day takes place on the 14th of March, making the date 3.14
Watch an anime with 3, 1, 4, 31 or 14 episodes. There sadly is no anime with 314 episodes, so that's not an option
Watch an anime with Greek Mythology or that takes place in Greece. The symbol for Pi was originally a Greek character.
— Must be listed under either tag. Specify which.
Watch an anime with an AniDB tag containing ''Pi''. I love puns, so I want you to watch an anime which has a tag name including the letters P and I back to back
— Must be an anime/episode tag, cannot be a character/creator tag; State the tag used.
— Example tags: Short Episode, Camping, Epilogue After Credits, etc.
All submissions MUST be PMed to either SheyCroix or Imyreld (any posted submissions will be deleted and ignored).
— We will alternate every now and then which will host the challenge each month, be sure to check.
— If you don't see your submission added after voting is open, please contact either of us on this club discord server ASAP.
All submissions will be accepted, but keep in mind that once the voting has started, any new submissions after will be at a disadvantage. — MetalFalcon cannot make a challenge submission for the next month due to winning the current monthly challenge.
Every other month there will be a bonus provided by one of our affiliates. Because of this, do not submit a bonus in your submission as all bonuses will be removed (regardless of the month).
Remember that your submission should consist of four (4) items.
— All monthly challenges will have a requirement of "anime used must be equal to or longer than 15 minutes (total)".
— Your items can't be restrictive, or require watching a specific anime. They should provide an equal pool of options for everyone, regardless of how much anime they have watched.
— Make sure to read the Rules / Explanation thread for the rest.
We reserve the right to request those submitting a challenge to revise their items, as to make it easier for both participants and inspectors.

Each monthly winner will have the option to request a personalized badge to showcase winning that monthly voting.
― Each badge will need to be claimed during the winning month or it will be void, thus you won't be able to claim it afterwards.
Each winner can pick from one of the provided templates and/or must provide their image of choice to be used.
Winners from previous monthly challenges (before this was available; 2020 or before) are allowed to claim with certain restrictions.
Requests for previous winners will be available for a limited amount of time.
