Please can you add "Great Pretender" season 2 to myanimelist.

Myanimelist has season 1. However, it is missing season 2 even though its been out since September 21, 2020 (Netflix Japan).

season 1 has 14 episodes, and season 2 has 9 episodes. MAL has all 23 episodes listed under one title :)

unless netflix lists the seasons differently for different countries

Ah yes. I didn't notice that it had all 23 episodes for that anime listing. Thanks for pointing it out! :)

I use the UK Netflix and it says there are 2 seasons but I guess it shows up different in the original Japanese Netflix version.

Anyway, I'm glad it is technically on the website so that I can review it accordingly.

I think considering all other anime have their seasons listed sepearately on this site instead of mashed together this is especially stupid . I personally think season 2 is much better which is why this is bothering me 😬

If you look at the air dates it might make sense why this happened:

Basically, Netflix dumped the first 14 episodes over a few weeks, but it then took a while for the TV version to catch up. Then, when the TV version had just about caught up, they dumped the remaining 9 episodes on Netflix. So there was a 12 week gap as far as Netflix viewers were concerned between big batches of episodes appearing, but the Japanese TV viewers just got one episode per week the whole time. So for MAL purposes it was treated as a single continuous season. That would be different if there was an actual gap in the TV broadcast of a whole season, then it would be a split-cour series with two entries.

A bit of a contrarian opinion, but I suppose the last arc isn't the worst in the world.

I suppose I agree with @cipheron: the TV version is probably the best to follow, which I bet is also why the show got switched from "ONA" to "TV" here.
