Barangay 143 is clearly an anime just as its manga is clearly a manga, there is no reason of why it is not listed on MyAnimeList, just by looking at the franchise, it has all of the characteristics of an anime, from the appearances, the music and the characters. Listing anime based on their place of creation is out of place and makes no sense, since anime can be created anywhere and have eternal significance and purpose.
Kaiz- said:It's not an anime and it will never be. They didn't even continue producing the show and stopped halfway even though it's getting interesting. Also, MAL will never add it even if you request.
Anime refers specifically to animation produced in Japan.
This accusation is yet another example of how completely absurd and ridiculous it is to try to identify anime with a specific place when everyone knows by default when something is anime or manga regardless of the place it came from and MyAnimeList is literally filled with thousands of manga and anime that originate from other places while being identical with any other anime or manga. It is almost impossible to find a person who still seriously thinks the way you think by expressing the genetic fallacy in such an ignorant way, it only takes a glance to perceive that Barangay 143 is anime and where its origins are does not matter at all.
Anime is a universal medium with eternal significance and any normal person who sees anime and manga such as Torkaizer, Castlevania, Avatar, Radiant and so immediately understands that they are anime and manga, there is no need for someone with special perceptions to tell you what they are, they are clearly anime. Barangay 143 is anime and any normal person can perceive that it is anime.

Anime has always been called Anime and Manga has always been called Manga everywhere, the fact that you still try to identify anime with "cartoons" as an attempt of mockery only shows that they are clearly different and how much absurd it is to try to compare them since the only reason someone stil ltries relate them is internet trolls because they are somehow afflicted due the superiority of anime, on the one side cartoons are unwanted, outdated, out of place and very few while anime are universal, eternal, unlimited in numbers and part of everything.
Barangay 143 is definitely anime and anyone can see it, the fact that someone can so easily tell that it is anime just by seeing it already shows the objective standard of what anime and manga is that everyone recognizes.
Anime and Manga are universal and all-ecompassing mediums with eternal purpose, and trying to localize them to a specific place based on someone's subjective opinion makes no sense since when everyone who sees a franchise such as Castlevania and Radiant can clearly perceive that it is anime innately. Anime and Manga manifest everything with the most perfected appearances and feelings. Just as the objective standards of absolute truth, the laws of logic, objective morality, universal ethics, alongside other unchanging immaterial absolutes that everyone recognizes regardless of when and where each person came from because they are inevitably grounded within the transcended nature of God, the same goes with the eternal essence of Anime and Manga which is also grounded within that transcended nature and everyone can perceive when something manifests as Anime and Manga such as Barangay 143 in this case. |
