don't be too happy cause it's not like it's going to top demon slayer overall grossing in box office,or else some of those people(especially haters) will make fun of you
cause i've seen some popular anime or top anime movie fans start to make fun of gintama fans, because the overproud feeling of some gintama fans that gintama dethrone DS movie in japan box office

I mean...at that point late in the game, everyone and their mother in Japan has already seen Demon Slayer. The true test is if Gintama can maintain that reign now that restrictions are starting to tighten up.

because no other movie is able to do it, dumb ass.
"I think I wanted to attack something. Like betraying people or hurting people. And, well, it's not exactly nice, but hurting the readers too... In all honestly, I feel that's what I really wanted to do. For me, as a reader, when I think, "this manga will remain in my heart," it means, for example, it phenomenally hurt me: It's those kinds of experiences I'm after." - Pajime Hisayama (My favourite hurting author).

Sadly, Looks like Gintama would take second place this weekend

Weekend Forecast (01/16-17):
01 (01) ¥193,000,000 ($1.9 million), -36%, Total = ¥36,140,000,000 ($345.7 million), Demon Slayer: Mugen Train (Toho/Aniplex) WK14
02 (02) ¥158,000,000 ($1.5 million), -45%, Total = ¥820,000,000 ($7.9 million), Gintama: The Final (Warner Bros.) WK2

I wasted all my time in rewatching to the point of my rewatch total is higher than my overall anime total lmao

That's sad because even though I haven't watched Gintama I still want it to beat Demon slayer because plot wise Demon slayer doesn't deserve it.Animation wise it does.Anything but Demon slayer.

Why look at it like that though?
Look at the bright side. People in Japan are suiciding left and right, the population is being lesser and lesser each year, and will be extinct in less than 100 years from now.

So a movie having the themes about Family and such being the top anime film in Japan means that Japan still has hope within them.
It's because of those themes present in KnY that it's blowing up, not because of the animation or anything.
As much as I am an ufotable-tard, I can at least admit that because it's KnY that it's blowing up (since all of ufotable's works didn't blow up outside of the anime community). As we saw in the manga side of things (82 million sales and such plus Volume #1 and #23 hitting the 5 million mark), KnY is a phenomenon that will help the Japanese to open up with their family.

And that's a good thing that it happened if I'm completely honest.

@ren0080 that makes sense.
Infinity train arc spoiler

Also the bond between Nezuko and Tanjiro as well as his family would make anyone want to have a family.I never thought that this could be the case lmao.

Yus. Also, almost all things happening in KnY revolves around the theme Family.
