| I recently ran into this recommended anime. Surprising positive reviews. Checked out a bit of it on YT and was surprised at the quality of writing and characters and so on. It looks dreadful, so much that I'd rather not watch it. But honestly, it's pretty great. Maybe I'll pick it up when I'm old enough! You??  |

| No they highest rated things I've dropped are a 7, but they're not really "dropped" in the sense that I'll never finish them since they were at least interesting and more like they timed-out from just sitting in my list for years without me making any progress on them. I just haven't been able to finish them due to various individualized circumstances and it's been several years so I probably would have to start over anyway. |

| I don't rate the anime I dropped at all. Sometimes I even drop for the sole reason of avoiding decision about the score. But I can't imagine dropping something great and potentially deserving a 10. If it's so great, I should at least watch it, it's like the necessary condition. |

| Yes, I drop every anime that is a potential 10 because I don't want to reach the end. On a more serious note: While I'm indeed kind of "sad" whenever I finish a 10/10 anime, I don't see a reason to drop it beforehand. In the (rare) case that I can't find the episodes, I'd just put it on on-hold. |

| Who looks at something, sees it's a 10, and thinks "I haven't finished it all, but I'm good, never gonna watch it ever again"? If something is a 10 to you and you don't feel like watching it, wouldn't a normal sane person put it on-hold instead of outright dropping it? | If I dropped it, then it never was anywhere close to a 10 in my book to begin with. An anime worth "10" would be good right from the beginning. It knows how to keep you invested and like what you're seeing. |
