| I can't respond this thread in a way that doesn't lead me to the most popular franchises. Stuff like Naruto, Dragon Ball, One Piece, Pokemon or Sailor Moon. I'm pretty sure most anime fans right now are mainly watching 2010s anime and Kamichama Karin is a 2000s show. So unless a good amount of these people have also watched a good amount of 2000s stuff, then I'm pretty sure a lot of people don't realize that at all. Not to mention that it seems like most of these people don't know who Koge-Donbo* is; I mean, I myself didn't even know about her until somewhat recently like last year or so when I started reading Kamichama Karin and Pita-Ten. |

| If we focus on clothes (which it’s an easy matter), like who? Goku? Luffy? Naruto? Kill la Kill? Evangelion? You know the rest of wacky-wacko clothes. If we’re gonna talk about how a human being is drawn, that’s subjective on what is and what isn’t iconic. Crayon Shin-chan and Bakabon come to mind. |

| Iconic means it has to be popular and easily recognisable, so pretty much all of the big battle shounen fall under that definition. Goku is probably the most recognisable, iconic anime character across the planet. So much so, even people who never watched anime know the guy. |

| I feel like anything designed by Tezuka is identified pretty quickly just by how iconic the character designs are. A broader answer than a specific anime I know, but it's the first thing that came to mind. |

| Ya honestly I'll go with Dragonball as well despite Toriyama only knowing one damn style of art it's the definition of iconic whether if it's Dragonball, Dr Slump, Dragon Quest or Chrono Trigger, any anime fan worth their salt will recognize Toriyama's style. |
