| Like the previous forum that I made "fantastic animation equals a masterpiece anime", this topic is pretty much lopsided to the side of people saying no, and I too as well will disagree. Why would you watch an anime on mute, just because it has some subs? Anime is a heck of a lot more fun with the sounds my boi (except for shitty hentai and boring slugfests). You can appreciate BGM and the talents of the hardworking VA's. You can't enjoy a piece of medium that without the auditory side of it. It's what it is. |

| What's the difference between manga and anime if you turn the sound off, besides the movement? There's no point on watching anime like that when you have manga, which has a clearly better quality in art (with some exceptions), is easier to read at the pacing you want and the storytelling is often better. |
