Entry for 'I'm in Love with the Villainess' / 'Watashi no Oshi wa Akuyaku Reijou' Light Novel please
| It seems it got rejected for "unpublished digital novel" reason This light novel seems to be in the weird situation where it has a paperback release in english but not in japanese... I guess this is a very strict requirement as the guidelines show no exception. Although "printed volumes and/or magazines under a recognised Light Novel label" technically doesnt specify the language it needs to be printed in... |

| Having seen another entry for the LN rejected this week, I can only conclude that apparently MAL does not consider Seven Seas a recognized label. Looks like, despite having the English book in front of us, we need to pray for a physical Japanese release to be finally able to read it... With markets everywhere (especially western manga/LN/game distribution) sadly often moving to digital only distribution, this really is a good example of why the "with manga and/or anime adaptations already in the database" clause should be restored for LNs, although counting licenses in other languages as proper releases would also help. |

| I recently realized I had been using the Manga entry for the ebook light novel of ‘I'm in Love with the Villainess‘ and became totally confused. I have know idea why there wouldn’t be a category for digital to amend the rules. The main reason would be for the fact that many great works will never be on MAL because they will only ever be digital. Whom ever decided to stick fast to a rule rather than adjusting it to be inclusive I find very intolerant and insensitive. I guess you can’t force someone to change something just because it makes very little sense to you. 😞 Anyway I have read volumes 1-3 of ‘I'm in Love with the Villainess‘ digital LN and volume 1 of the manga adaptation and loved it. 💕 |

| Is there really no way to allow this entry? I get why it was rejected, but in addition to the English version, this series has also been published in other languages. For instance, the title in Portuguese is "Me Apaixonei pela Vilã" and I bought the released volumes so far; if I'm not mistaken, it received versions in Spanish, French and a few more as well. Idk, there could be a exception for series that weren't physically released in Japanese, but were so in 3 or more other languages. |

All of what matters is : Is this published in Japan ? And the answer is yes , it has , albeit years after the translations. Well, Revolution is more like a spin off, although it's the same plot, it's centered on Claire's point of view, not Rei's. And with exception I refered to all series that fit in, not just WataOshi. Edit: Sorry, I messed up. I got confused by the titles. |
