| Story/narrative aside, overall I believe that the OST and fight choreography from ufotable in Demon Slayer is superior to Vinland Saga. Also, Vinland Saga suffers due to being streamed on a limited payed for service (Amazon Prime Video), meanwhile demon slayer was more widely available. Regardless, both are very good, although people like to hate on Demon Slayer since it more so your "run of the mill" shounen. |

| it's more action heavy, vinland has too much viking politics, usually the majority of viewers prefer an easy to read plot and action and the main guy is likable, uses a cool sword and has a cute sister, thorfinn's sister is ok but she's as sexy as a plank |

| Demon Slayer is more accessible due to it being your standard WSJ series with amazing animation and was also on multiple streaming services, meanwhile Vinland is a seinen that's stuck in Amazon hell. | Problem with Viniland saga, it was boring, boring cast. I thought it would be way more interest then it was. Vinland Saga was one of the most boring shows of Summer 2019. And I watched 52 shows that got released that season. |

| Demon Slayer is good but Vinland Saga is a masterpiece KnY had more popularity cause at the time it was diffused a lot of youtubers talked about it and it was easier to find the episodes (for free) Also, most of the time shounen have more popularity over seinen :( |

| When both Vinland Saga and Demon Slayer ended, the latter had a higher score here in MAL. Now Vinland saga is the one with the higher rating. I don't know about other places but here the hype backlash for Demon Slayer must have kicked in and some people started to give the show lower reviews. You sometimes see new reviews about the show from some people saying how everyone told them it was an amazing show, but that they were actually disappointed in the end because of how generic it was and how only the animation was worth praising. To be honest, I have nothing to complain about, even though I thought Demon Slayer was a decent watch despite Zenitsu. |

| Yes it's truly a shame. Honestly, not only Vinland Saga, but so many other shows from 2019 were so much better. But unfortunately, the simple answer to your question is that Kimetsu no Yaiba is everything most anime viewers want, a shounen with mediocre writting and direction, but with god-tier production. Don't get your hopes up about easily finding people with decent standards in this community. |

| Well, I mean Demon Slayer has more appeal I think. I haven’t seen either of them but I really want to see Demon Slayer and have zero interest in Vinland Saga. Yeah... Vinland Saga looks way too graphic for my tastes. But, if it makes you feel any better, I see people mention Vinland Saga all the time; I’d say it’s one of the more liked series’ out there, It’s just hard to beat something as popular as Demon Slayer. |
| I thought Vinland was kinda boring for the most part, to be honest; it also suffers from sub-par art and animation at times (by studio Wit standards). Also, teenage Thorfinn is an absolutely insufferable MC. Yeah, Demon Slayer might be more "generic" shounen fare overall, but at least it had much more consistent production values and it did a better job in keeping me entertained. Also, at least Tanjiro didn't make me wanna punch him in the face everytime he was on-screen. |

| Because more people watch battle shounen and less historical anime. Battle shounen anime like Naruto gets more supply and demand than their historical counterparts like Rose of Versailles. The anime watching crowd is under 25 years of age on average and battle shounen was made for teenagers. Considering the fact that Masashi Kishimoto was teenager when DBZ was all the rage. |

| Probably cause KnY is just a typical inoffensive shounen, which most people wouldn't really hate and everyone would at least enjoy it. Whereas, Vinland Saga is more of a seinin and it didn't have much popularity compared to KnY, Vinland Saga also has much more Gore and Violence than KnY. Still as someone who has completed both of them, I do still like Vinland Saga more than KnY, but I dont hate KnY. |
