This movie was like I got hit with a train, it took my heart and played ping pong with it, great animation, beautiful and uniqe art style, great characters , heart renching story made my cry about 4 times even after a rewatch, and it's some how still got a 7.7 score on mal, and ONLY 7000 PEAPOLE SAW IT, WTF IS WRONG WITH YOU ALL ?!?!?!
moral of the story I hate you all.

This movie was really really good. How this has so low score and popularity
The art style really goes with the theme, camera angle was good too, character design was realistic. The most good thing was the story and storytelling

Just watched it a few minutes ago. Kanta, such a loving cheerful child. He was such a pleasant character, I am really broken by the events of the show. A big shame that this movie is so poorly rated.

I've been meaning to watch this for years. Finally got round to it and was really impressed.

I'm shocked this has only been rated by like 10k people. I thought the animation style and fantastical elements really brought something unique to the children during war time genre.

The whole vibe of this anime really reminded me of Masaaki Yuasa, I had to do a deep dive on the directors other works and was surprised he's more of an old school director coming towards the end of his career than a young upstart.
