Before I got into manga and anime, I spent a full year reading Webtoons. And my knowledge and critical opinions on both manga and anime are both shaped by my experience reading Webtoons.

Even though I didn't read ToG, GoH and Noblesse during my time on the Webtoon app, I still read some very great gems in the catalog. I know I'm not alone on this so did you read Webtoons alongside (or before) Japanese mangas and what was your favorites in the Webtoons catalog?

I started reading manga several years before I knew of Webtoons, which I discovered around 2014/2015. Recently the number of new Webtoons serialized have blown up, so I'm reading more of them now than ever before lol. It helps that the weekly updates are constant.

My favorite is Tower of God by far, but Noblesse (although it does drag at some point), Bastard, Your Throne, My Deepest Secret, and The Four Of Them are also really good.
Honorable mention to Lookism and unOrdinary, but they both start out really well in the first 80 or so chapters then drag on without much plot progression in the later ones. I find this to be the case for a LOT of Webtoons.

same for me, I keep dropping webtoons because of how dragged out they are. The last webtoon I read was so dragged out, the main guy became a "hero" in like 60 chapters, while in manga it can happen in a few chapters. I'm not a fan of that, but I'd probably like to come back.

To be honest, I don't like webtoon that much BUT so far, I like these webtoons:

-The Cursed Sculpture
-Shen Ze
-The Law of the Yama

These are the horror manhua webtoons. If you don't like it, then I hope you could share it the manhua fans or horror fans or webtoon fans.

I read manga before I read webtoons/naver web comics

I used to really like a webtoon called Black Haze but it got axed I think because of compensation issues.

I've also read some of the older ones like Noblesse, DICE, Soul Cartel, The Gamer, etc.
For newer ones I'm reading Trash of Count Family, Eleceed, Solo Level, and Omniscient Reader POV

I like action webtoons lol, I never really got into any of the romance ones tho I've tried reading Siren's Lament, Oh! Holy, Super Secret, Orange Marmalade, etc.

Yo same, it's been years since I read it due to the infinite hiatus but Black Haze remains as one of my favorite webtoon/manhwa today. Such a shame for what happened to it. If you didn't know, the author has since made a new one called "Charlotte Has Five Disciples." Cool female lead and it has the same vibes as Black Haze.

I'd like to say Noblesse but I mostly just loved the first part, mainly because of the comedy. The 'action' parts at the latter was a drag. I put it on-hold and I'm not sure if I even want to pick it back up again. I guess my favorite then would be a smut LOL Drug Candy is very memorable to me, even though it features such a nasty theme (adultery).

It's been years since I last read a webtoon, maybe I should go check out a few titles mentioned here.

yeah i was sad about the hiatus, i loved the MC in that webtoon and the plot was getting interesting too. I've read the Charlotte has five disciple webtoon too, but i wish Black Haze wasn't axed...

I've read manga since my childhood, and only started reading a webtoon around 1-2 years ago? Even then, I don't read that much. My favorite webtoon is actually a Japanese one, Marry Me! My favorite Korean/Naver webtoon is Lookism, but it took me a while to really like it, the beginning was a bit hard to get through.

I got into anime first, then read manga, and then manhwa. My Top 10 manhwa/webtoons are: Second Life Ranker, Beware of the Villainess, Tower of God, Queen with a Scalpel, Charlotte Has Five Disciples, Dungeon Reset, The Beginning After the End, Miss Not-So Sidekick, Survive as the Hero's Wife, and The Abandoned Empress. But, I have a huge backlog of manhwa that I have yet to read so there may be a lot more to add to my favorites list that knock some of the others out (for example I've read about halfway through the webnovel of Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint and it would totally make my list of favorites, but manhwa-wise I've only read like the first couple chapters. I really need to play catch up lol)
