| I wanted to watch Monster from a long time ago, probably 3 years ago, then i dont know i forgot. I'm glad I'm watching it now. Perfect start, seems like this is my kind of a show, looks very promising. Excellent Episode. |

| Welp, about time I watched this show. It has been sitting on my hard drive for nearly 3 years now. The episode didn't exactly blow my mind (going by the hype), but still one of the better first episodes I've watched. |
| Well, I see why everyone says this show is great. It's already off to a fantastic start! I'm glad Tenma saved the kid. Screw the corrupt director. I have a feeling the relationship with Eva isn't going to last. The English dub is also pretty good so far. |

| He's operating on a wrong person I guess you can say he fucked up a big time xD So this anime is about prodigy doctor It's pretty rare.. I guess There are many manga about this, but apparently this is the only one that's really popular |

| Lol like damn man, why is he the only competent surgeon? He's shit out of luck that this has happened to him like twice. I'm actually watching the dub. The script is good. Verdict's still out for the acting. It's fine so far though. I've been avoiding Monster just because I have so many other things to watch which are not as long. I'm ready to power through it though. |

| A Madhouse production? I would never have guessed. Good episode. Not the best, but good. Honestly, we were all rooting for Tenma-san when he went on to operate on that boy weren't we? Also, dump that girl quick. Though, by the look of things, I believe that she may dump you first. What a cop out at the end tho. "Koros theh?" That girl was repeating "Kill him" 3 times over and over and this episode wants us to believe that the guy Tenma was operating on was Monster-kun(Who may have killed their parents huh?). Impossible. Hang in there boy. I will support you no matter what. And BTW, how can Tenma-san not know that he was being used?  Does anyone have any haikus for this series? Please quote me if you have an answer so that I will be notified. |

| I am finally giving this classic a shot. I heard it has a good plot and now I'm here, finally taking the plunge. I dont expect to be able to make it till the end because A) I'm hella prone to dropping, just take a look at my list... B) this anime is pretty long. But we will see. Acceptable first episode. Germans in this anime behave funny lol. Not like Germans at all. Anyway, I dont mind. I liked the shit out of that bible quote. Makes for a promising start. |

| good first episode. i see where this show is headed. i forsee that it will be a conflict between what tenma wants and what others want out of him. morality will be a theme to be addressed as well. is it right to do things for the sake of reputation or recognition? or is it right for the individual to make decisions within their own beliefs? the former is a more “evil” choice, based on this first episode. |
| Great first episode, my only gripe is that I was expecting them to handle the morality in a more subtle manner. But it's only the introduction episode, so I don't mind it much and the tone in general was excellent. |

| Kill... Him. As in kill the boy (brother)? Either that boy killed his parents and failed to kill himself in front of the girl or the girl has gone mad. I may be looking too much into it. Either way, I can already tell that this is gonna be a good and crazy ride. |

| This episode got me engaged already. I wished I hadn't read its MAL synopsis, but oh well. Tenma, he doesn't belong in that world. Everyone around him seems to use him. Poor guy. |

| Started it last night! Loved the first episode. You can sense from the start its an "adult" anime. I especially liked how they instantly made the director's daughter a disturbing, vile character with just one scene. The doctor and his dilemma also felt true and complex. It was just a great, strong first episode. Now comes the downfall which is the consequence of doing the right thing! |

| Been waiting for when I finally had mood and chance to watch this. Very amazing first episode, this show feels dark and a little creepy but thats what makes me love it even more. Can’t wait to continue watching to see what kind of things Monster has to offer |

| Super cool start. Tenma seems super likeable as of now and man, the pain from having to choose one over another is very real and it hurts. The whole atmosphere is perfectly done and I'm still finding myself to be impressed despite the high expectations that I had. |

| Quite interesting first episode but I was certainly expecting more subtlety. Tenma seems to be the only competent surgeon in this big ass hospital and I was certainly NOT expecting the conflict of morality to be so "in your face". |
