[Update Dec 2] Android & iOS Apps (Phase 1) Are Here!

They need to add a section where you can update your manga on there. For now I still use the browser.

No offense but no. get a new phone. Android versions older than like 9 are a serious security risk and a minority users them. 75% use Android 8 and higher. No time should be wasted on security risk versions for 5+ year old phones

App is great but for the past couple of days I’ve been getting the same error message “StatusCode : 401” and I can’t use the app. I’m running the latest iOS version.

i had this problem as well. i was able to press "ok", open the menu, and log out; the app gave me another error message, but logging back in after that fixed it for me. i assume it'll reoccur until the dev team addresses it, but i hope this helps a bit...

Great idea, I like that there is an app, it is easier than browsing the web. I doubt that they upload hentai material and its derivatives, one of the policies of the application stores is to avoid XXX content

i wish they have combos, for example: top movies + most popular anime = most popular movies. (including, ovas, specials, etc.)

I love using the app but my full currently watching list doesn't even show up. Dogeza is missing and Strike Witches Road to Berlin is also missing. Both are rated PG-13 tho I don't know how Dogeza is rated PG-13 but that's not the point. Does anyone else have missing anime that's on their list but not on the app?

I'm curious how much has actually changed on this app in the last year, because I have the old beta version on my phone right now (Android 7.1) and it's still working. (Build 0.11.13)

Is it possible to limit the push notifications to just the ones that are, well, notifications? I'm constantly getting stuff like "This anime has now this many favorites". I want push notifications, but only limited to the ones that are under the notifications bell in the app/site. I'm on Android by the way.

It's indeed possible! It was annoying me too, so I was looking for a way to change that immediately.

Open the app and click on your profile picture on the top left. This will open a settings menu. Now, click on App Setting > Notification. There you can choose for what kinds of notification you want a push message.

Great! This is really nice to see. I've always found it really annoying when it kicks you to the website when you want to do certain thigs but hopefully with newer versions it wont be a problem.

Too bad it’s just for iOS 12.4 and not earlier versions... I’m on 12.1.1 due to being best for battery.

Will you guys be adding easier ways to list rewatched series? I’ve admittedly been unable to figure it out, and I’m starting to rewatch stuff I watched in high school. lol

I've already download and install previous version in android with package name "net.myanimelist" , which is not show in play store anymore, and just figure it out MyAnimeList is plan to release new and added some feature.

i was waiting from 1-2 years, but now I can't install it.

Can't wait for the manga list update.

It does not appear to work at all on the iPad; login attempts just return an "internal server" error, and it being surrounded by black borders looks pretty bad.

i can't see any requests for iOS 12, why did they expend ?

Something like shazam but for voice actors. Such a shame that searches end up somewhere else. Different market - Japan I'm much aware but when I saw it first, MAL flashed before my eye - this should definitely result in MAL entries instead / also.

It's like checking other movies with Your fav. actor but instead one could receive a link with person X voice actor on MAL website then click on him / her & browse other titles. This is what I personally do to begin with. Also by studio, besides certain genre that is.

Anway. I receive new episode notifications of Anime that i have marked as dropped. Which I am convinced should not happen.

I’m not gonna use this app since it doesn’t have an iPad version yet. If it has that as well as multitasking feature, that’s where i’ll start to use it

Another bug on android: a lot of times I receive multiple notification of episodes airing. 2 days ago it showed me the same notification 4 times.

Updating anime under the seasonal anime tab seems also bugged. I marked an anime as dropped. It then marked a lot of other anime that were set to watching as dropped with a score of 6 and only 1 episode watched.

It would be cool to see an update for the app. Add manga to the app, it shouldn't be that hard since you have anime already
