| I've only seen Duel Monsters on 4Kids TV when I was a child so I'll have to go with that. That ending though really made me empty, seeing the series end. |

The first Yugioh was good but hampered by some mediocre arcs imo, and I never found arc-v/vrains interesting tbh. Zexal doesn't get enough love. There are some stupid things in it, but yeah, I found it pretty consistent overall. For as much as I love 5D's, I can't exactly say it was always at an 11. But goddamn did it hit hard when it pulled out the big guns. |

| I like the old yugioh from like 1998 it was a lot darker and more interesting to me. But I also like Duel Monsters and 5D. |

| GX, hands down. I couldn't get into DM when I was a child, and only watched some episodes when there was nothing else to watch. GX got me hooked right away and is one of the few shows (both anime and cartoons) from my childhood that I still love to this day. I'm considering giving DM a second chance though. 5D's is a close second. |

| I can list stuff I liked in every season (like now Sevens ep 21 had pretty sweet character design) and also things I didn't like. I don't really know why people especially shit on Zexal, I think it has some good characters, animation wise it was pretty good for ygo standards, fun filler episodes and especially when we get to Barians real shit starts to happen. But I guess I choose season 0 as my fav. Aesthetically more to my taste, Megumi Ogata, Yami's questionable methods of giving lectures and best of all we had different games. |

| Duel Monsters and 5D's were great. That said, it still gotta be GX. That one impacted me the most during my childhood. It aired when I was really into the card game and I even dreamed about how awesome it would be to visit the Duel Academy. I loved the series as a whole. The introduction arc with the duel of the week, the light hearted nature and the silliness of the characters. The cast was definitely my favorite, their quirks and interactions were so fun, furthermore I thought they had the most satisfying development. Season 3 was where the story peaked. Jaden went through a lot of shit and the tone became more somber, till date I haven't seen such a change in a series and it was really fascinating to me. Season 4 never came to Germany, but back in 2008 YouTube had all the episodes, even with German subs, that got me all euphoric. But finishing the series was a bittersweet experience. I felt like crying and had mad post anime depression for days, even tho the final duel on the other hand was hype and uplifting again. So yeah, one of my favorite anime ever. |

| There is no "season 0". The 27-episode Toei anime was a completely separate series from Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters, and it irks me that people still call it a season when it's obviously not. |
