| I still don’t think the animation is as good as it was in previous seasons, but at least it was much better than last episode. I really liked that they finally focused on Tanaka. It was long overdue and they did a good job staying true to his character. |

| God damn a 5/5 ep, actually started crying when he scored that point. Bokuto was relatable, the entire ep I felt exactly like him |
Ilogical said: So the childhood friend is aware that tanaka likes someone else? I don`t remember a escene in which she finds out, or is it that the anime excluded some content? How can she find out that Tanaka likes someone else only based on how he plays? When they met in the evening outside of the inn and Tanaka realized that Kanoka was trying to confess to him, he actually said that he already had another girl he liked. Later Kanoka's friend was trying to cheer her up, saying that what Tanaka said didn't mean that he actually had a girlfriend, so Kanoka was still able to get him. So, it seems like during the match with Inarizaki it became apparent to Kanoka that Tanaka wouldn't give up on his love interest no matter what. |
Ilogical said: Thanks, I don't remember the part in which he said that he liked someone else, I just remember the misunderstanding with her brother, so I thought that with clrarifying that they could end up together. I will try to rewatch that episode, but I still feel sad for her, she is a good waifu and I wanted her to be happy. Ye, after he said that he liked another girl, Kanoka's cousin came, and Tanaka though that the guy was Kanoka's boyfriend and that Kanoka didn't mean to confess to him, so he shouldn't have said what he said. :D Agree, Kanoka is a great girl, but she has things in her life besides her affection to Ryuu, she gonna be fine. |
| NICE KILL TANAKA Damn, that was one good episode. Really like the focus on Tanaka and his character development. Seems like the animation is back to normal and the beginning part where Tanaka asked Kiyoko to marry him was funny xD |

The thing about this episode I remember most is Tanaka pulling through depression, utlimatly succeeding in supporting his Team and not giving up, despite beeing *average* --> It's delivering a real powerful message, anyone who ever played any Sport can probably somewhat relate to. THAT'S why this episode was great, my dude^^ ...Animation was still awesome, sure...but you're missing the point here, essentially stating it got no substance. |

| That was fucking magical. They just won a set against a very powerful team whom iirc are second placers last year. Damn that's a big leap for Karasuno. And from time to time they show the other team struggling against them, just shows how far Karasuno has come. |

| I was thrown off at the beginning of the episode because of the ending of ep2. On another note, I was really rooting for Kanoka we were all rooting for her.. maybe not xd(? I'm glad that Kanoka figured out Tanaka's feelings on her own. It shows how much she understands and values him </3 |

| A episode dedicated to Tanaka? Awesome! Its always helpful to dig to a character's past and try to understand a bit of it's origins. Tanaka did great to end the first set :D I'm glad the animation was back to normal. The last one, the animation was a disaster and weird :( Next we'll go check on Nekoma. Can't wait! Also, great episode! |

It makes one appreciate all our boys have achieved all the more - don't recall who said it, but yeah, it went along the lines of smt like this: While it may seem that Karasuno (who has been a fallen powerhouse for the past years) seem to be struggling, instead it's the other way around - Inarizaki are tying to keep them off mwahahahahahhahaha :D |

| I didn't care much for Tanaka tbh, but at least he gets a bit of the spotlight since he always seemed just.. there. I hope we get more depth on the twins. +I'm really in love with the Kansai dialect. |
| That cross spike was HYPE Tanaka best boy, he managed to pick himself up in just a few mins. You need insane mental fortitude to be able to do that in the middle of a match and after several ''failures''. This moved me, I'm so proud of him |
| Every player is irreplaceble but I think that Tanaka is the one who holds them all together, he's like the backbone, and a huge support for the team. For that, I'm glad he gets his spotlight even if it's only for one episode. |

He ain't wrong, directing and animation are paramount in an anime series' emotionnal impact, you can have the most well written show imaginable, if the visuals do not efficiently convey the message you're not gonna feel anything. This ep was magnificent because the visuals and writing supported each other. |
| glad they cleared up if kageyama could have gone under the net there (i was pretty confused lol). i liked seeing bokuto's reactions in this ep too lol! interestingly, this ep had a character focus on tanaka, which was pretty awesome bc we haven't really seen him in the last few eps. his feelings of being average are explored along w/ his mental strength. his amazing spike at the end!! |

| I really can't imagine Tanaka and Kiyoko together. I really like the other girl for him lol Tanaka is my least favorite character in Haikyuu >,< he's okay though. I hope to see a girl's volleyball by Furudate someday! |

| I haven't felt this way about an episode since "Halo over the moon" since last season. Definitely the best episode of this season thus far for me. The reality of what Tanaka is going through is what each and every one of us may have gone through at some point in time in our lives. |
