| I dont think its farfetched to say this was the worst Haikyuu episode ever produced. Art was dreadful, the animation wonky and felt more like a powerpoint in many scenes, judging by previous comments they just rushed through the content as well. It better be corrected in next episodes or this will be a major fall for this series. |

Ok, so I read the chapters this ep adapted... aside from the animation, they really did the character designs, especially for Alan Ojiro, dirty this ep. Disappointed because Alan is amazing. One thing I was surprised to see is that although some some scenes lacked detail they were true to the manga. Like Atsumu’s Devilman smiles this ep were actually in the manga. My biggest problem is how much they cut: 7 chapters were adapted instead of 3, as people have said. All around disappointed in the amount of cuts they had to make for this episode, as well as the pacing issue people are mentioning. Here’s hoping I.G. can turn it around next ep. Oh man, I don’t mean to be that guy but this ep literally almost ruined my experience for Haikyū as a whole. |

| I know it's just the beginning of their match but something seemed to be lacking this episode. Maybe it was the (somewhat) poor animation, or the music? It just didn't have the same vibes as the first episode, or any of the Shiratorizawa ones. |

| I love it that Karasuno isn't afraid to experiment during games, even such important ones, but most of all - that others catch onto it and are all like - seriously?? Hehehehhehe :D |

And honestly, I don't even notice it, the happenings on court have my whole focus. |

It's been a while since I last read that part, but i think in the manga they initially also didn't leave a good impression - only as the match continued and we got shown their past and got more of their thoughts did we come to like them, so I'm thinking it'll be the same in the anime as well. |

| Ok, if I quoted every post complaining about the animation, I'd annoy 1/5th of MAL, but basically I was right to think that the quality is pretty bad. This might explain why some reviews seemed to be disappointed by this season. Anyways, the match itself is playing out quite fun, with a lot of surprises on both sides. But just like someone mentioned, we are probably going to get to a test of tenacity sooner or later, something I'm starting to miss from the matches with Aoba Jusai. |

| hinata is total the center in this match, and though it's interesting, it's also funny xD really lots of greats moments in this ep. karasuno and itarizaki are really toe to toe in this match. the hype is real :D i dare say it might be even better than karasun vs shiratorizawa. sure, there were lots of tense moments there. but in this match i just feel every karasuno character shine with their own ability, where in shiratorizawa match, tsukishima was more the center. my only complain for this episode i the art. it just felt huge downhill from the first episde. at start i thought that's maybe just me, but then i saw this discussion confirming it. |
