New York City was safe. Sydney was safe. Beijing was safe. Amsterdam was safe. However, Tokyo was in great danger, despite the fact that the Apocalypse, the Coroanvirus plague, and the nuclear war were all subsided. Why was Tokyo still in danger? In Tokyo, there was a ruthless and evil mad scientist named Dr. Wily who'd invented a giant mechanical octopus which had the power to roam through the city and grab cars and people and crush them. The evil Dr. Wily intended to use this mecha-octopus to create pure hell on the streets.
It was rumored that Dr. Wily was either an Atheist or a Satanist, but nothing was certain. What was certain was that Dr. Wily considered his supreme invention, this hideous leviathan behemoth called the mecha-octopus, his ultimate vision of a dark city. He wanted to use this invention to create a form of post-apocalyptic nightmare in Tokyo, despite the fact that so much fear had already subsided in major cities around the world, since the major threat, the serious nuclear confrontation between the USA and North Korea was finally over. Dr. Wily had no intention to allow Tokyo to rest in peace.
A group of youngsters in Tokyo who wore hockey-masks in the streets while prowling late at night on electric motorbikes, called themselves the Furies. This ultra-modern cool gang sought to put an end to the everyday paranoia the evil Dr. Wily created in post-apocalyptic Tokyo. The Furies wanted to organize themselves with flare-guns so when the mecha-octopus showed up in the darkened city, Dr. Wily would not prevail. In other words, the Furies were the modern rendition of Hell's Angels and they offered the world a sort of counter-culture prayer.
FURIES LEADER: Yeah, we'll stop Dr. Wily and his mecha-device, so he doesn't turn Tokyo into an octopus city; he's already sent the death-threat to the Tokyo Herald regarding his mecha-octopus device, so we know it's coming, however, his Satanic vision of Tokyo darkness will not be realized, since we Furies intend to defy his madness with a small touch of daylight; that's simply cool.
