Don't know much about this genre, but I can say with confidence that 'Now and Then, Here and There' fits your criteria, and it is brilliant.

Grimgar: Ashes and Illusions - Has a more realistic take on isekai. The characters aren't very strong, and they really struggle killing off even some regular goblins.

And obviously, Re:Zero. The mc is probably the weakest human in the show.

Thats one of the reasons I like it. Though it still has a long way to catch up to the Novel.

Is this even considered a challenge? ^°^

Re: Zero
KonoSuba
Inuyasha
Outbreak Company ( basically he has no powers just a boy that teaches people the otaku culture )

And the most annoying one ( his scared face )

+1 Twelve Kingdoms

Vision of Escaflowne. Consequences of wielding power is one of the main themes of the show and the MC is probably the one who gets the harshest lesson on it.

The Lost Village (This is kind of isekai)

I know one but I cant remember the name. MC can transform from a weak boy to a powerful monster with the help of a girl to fight monsters, but not overpowered. Ill post the name if I remember (not an anime but the manga is amazing)

Rising of the Shield Hero:

Quite an irritating start because the parallel universe already has a prejudiced perception on the MC. The MC started with an incomparable disadvantage while the other characters started with like the basic, even good advantages. It is good and I cannot wait for season 2.

Yuuri is kinda over powered given that he always goes into maou mode and settles things in the end.

Sure I guess, but doesn't that make one wonder, why he doesn't do such when trouble arises from the getgo.

Seriously Yuri really is like a fish out of water(hell that's where most of the comedy comes from).

He doesn't have much control over his powers and needs some sort of an emotional trigger to release them - that's usually when the situation gets out of hand. He's like a Magikarp that suddenly evolves into a Gyarados but then goes back to being a Magikarp lol.

Ah yes that's right, and that's why I can't consider him OP.

Lol so true
