For me, it was Fall 2018 but I started late, like half way through and had to catch up and only completed like three shows. Winter 2019 was my first full season and the season I completed the most anime.

So yh, pretty recent for me. What about you?

When I finished school and started my account, so also Fall 2018.

My current goal is to revamp all the character details for High School DxD and have all the characters included in the DB.

I think my first seasonal was around mid 2018. After that I had this weird urge to keep up with every seasonal anime that was airing. Nowadays I don't even bother keeping up with seasonals lol.

Fall 2003 was my first season.

I remember I was looking everywhere for this series I had heard about called "Bottle Fairy/Binzume Yousei." At some point in my search, I found out that it hadn't actually aired yet, but that it would be airing soon. There was this moment of realization for me, like, "Oh, right... I guess new anime is airing all the time in Japan, huh? I wonder how I can watch all that new anime?" I know this seems REALLY obvious today, with subs coming out the same day they air in Japan for most anime, easily available streaming, and tons of talk and hype leading up to the new season, but it really wasn't like that back then.

So I found out about "seasons," and picked out a few anime from the upcoming fall season to watch. I was already familiar with fansubs, and had been watching them for a while, so it was easy to find episodes of new anime in the same places I was already downloading (streaming anime wasn't a thing yet). I watched those few anime through the season, found that I loved watching anime this way, and I've followed every season since then.

Early 2011, but back then I only watched 0-2 popular shows per season. I only began to look at the seasonal chart around mid 2012.

Started watching anime from May 2019. Took a good 9 months binging anime, old and new.
Was introduced to seasonal anime since Spring 2020, starting with Kaguya-sama S2.

I've been following every season since winter 2013. Apart from a couple of seasons in 2019 when i was too stressed from work. In the beginning i watched like 90% of everything every season apart from the kids shows. Now i just try everything and drop almost everything lol.

I started with Kobato, which was aired Fall 2009 but it was just that show. I watch more and more each season after that until 2013 and then watching less and less until I stopped after Spring 2018. Came back watching seasonals this Summer 2020 with 2 shows, and already plan to watch several shows next season.

If I remember correctly Your lie in April was the first anime that I watched as a seasonal fresh anime. Before that, for four or five years, I didn't even know there was a concept like "seasonal", I just watched what I found by recommendations, through AMV-s and so on.

Watching for real, at least 4/5 shows every season only in 2019. But i watched some, before that.
I watched the first season of MHA as it came out episode by episode, at that time i was still in highschool. Same goes for Fairy Tail, i made a marathon with the less than 30 episodes that came out when i started and after that watched every episode as it came out.
(No i dont watch MHA anymore..Dropped on 2nd season hahah)

Summer 2018 was my first season and also my best one, I just found out about all these seasonal anime, and I basically kept up with all of them, it was amazing. Some of my all time favourite anime were airing and I couldn't be more happier. After that I kept it up on every season, because of exams or some other reason, I had to skip some seasons but I kept up with basically most seasons.

If you count Dragon Ball Super as a "seasonal" anime, then July 2015 was the date.

It was in Spring 2019. Although, to be honest i never really got into seasonal anime last year. I only watched two: Hitoribocchi (Spring), and Oresuki (Fall).

Winter 2020 was the point i started watching seasonal anime.

Well, I used to follow a few shows and wait for them to come out (like Aikatsu for example), but my first actual season (when I realized that: oh, anime comes out each season!) was Winter 2014, with SAO II, Kuroshitsuji Circus arc, Ao Haru Ride, and Blade Dance. Around that time I also caught up with Fairy Tail so I transitioned to a seasonal watcher of it.

So yeah, my journey as a seasonal watcher started with a season of either popular shows or ones I was familiar with already (withholding comments on the quality of said shows).

I'm a fairly recent seasonal anime watcher.

I only started last year part way through the Spring 2019 season (One Punch Man S2 & Why The Hell Are You Here, Teacher! being the only seasonal shows I saw).

Summer 2019 was the first season I tried keeping up with shows as they were airing such as Danmachi S2, Vinland Saga, O Maidens In Your Savage Season, Astra Lost in Space, Magical Sempai, Okaasan Online, UchiMusume, Hensuki, Are you Lost, Isekai Cheat Magician & Cop Craft. It was an amazing season and really hooked me into watching seasonal shows as they air.

I think I started seasonals sometime in 2014, but then after a season or two, I stopped watching seasonals as much. I think I may have picked up one or two shows here and there but I’d say about last year ish(?) I started watching seasonals again.

For me I was watching Black Clover for a while on a weekly basis (but don't really count it as a seasonal). The next thing I watched weekly was Fairy Tail and Mob Psycho 100. I caught upto the anime and realised they were still going weekly so I was already in the habit of watching black clover weekly so decided I'd do the same with them. I kinda kept doing this with sequels for a while or getting recommended shows that I would pick up half way through a season and continue watching.

But I'd say the first time I actually watched anime seasonally properly was Dr Stone and Fire Force last year and since then I pick up a few each season + sequels.

Winter 2018 and I'm still doing that but not so much. Almost seasonals are completed especially 2018, I watched a lot of seasonal anime that year. Anyway, I could bingewatch everything now. Still seasonal watcher.

At first, it was like a religion watch every episode weekly but I got tired of it after a while. So now I enjoy the watching seasonal anime with 2-3 episodes at once.

All weebs creatures of the galaxy, hear this message. Those of you who listen will not be struck by western animation. You will no longer know hunger, nor pain. Your Anime have come to lead you now. Our strength shall serve as a luminous sun toward which all intelligence may blossom. And the impervious shelter beneath which you will prosper. However, for those who refuse our offer and cling to their western animation ways… For you, there will be great wrath.
