Is all anime flawed or do you think something like a perfect anime (to you) exists?

Do you think all anime is flawed and accept that, or do you think a perfect anime exists? If so, have you found it already or is it a vague term you would like to believe exists? Or maybe you think it's just a matter of how you see it, like if an anime is perfect in your eyes? (I've been seeing this thrown around a lot so asking).

Personally, I'm a huge lover of anime, but I don't think there's a perfect anime out there, not even in my own eyes. There is just anime with flaws I can ignore and anime with flaws I can't ignore. Anime that does a very good job, and anime that does less of a good job.

What about you?

Every anime has its flaws. There could be anime that are subjectively perfect based on the kind of taste you have.

No anime or manga is objectively perfect, but there are lots of subjectively perfect ones. For me, those would be Pandora Hearts and JoJo part 7 (both manga), because if they ever have flaws, I just haven't noticed them at all.

Hmm, good question!>:3>
Probably most of the series I gave a 10 to would be close to perfection, but a perfect anime or manga per say though?:o>
Now that, I don't think there is..^^'

Something being perfect belongs to one's preferences. If someone disagrees, then it isn't perfect to them, but still perfect to the person it is perfect to. That is all.

all anime has its flaw, i guess its kinda dumb to say a 'perfect anime', but there are definitely animes that are golden while having their own flaws.

Perfection is subjective so unless an anime just happens to have all of its elements cater to you perfectly or have simple enough taste for that to not be all that uncommon then you'll likely never see anything that's absolutely perfect. Yama no Susume is the closest I've personally found to perfection and even that has some moments that I don't really agree with.

Anime, and media in general, often add things in to bring in more mainstream audiences if their true target can't bring in enough money on their own, and that can bring down the quality ever so slightly for that true audience.

Most have flaws and some have barely any flaws. However I do believe that perfect anime exists, such as Monster and Hajime no Ippo. Well, actually the only flaw those 2 have is that they dont last forever.

My roommate is on my lap, sometimes on my head.

It has an adult protagonist that has an actual job. He's worthless at taking care of himself and is often at the edge of collapsing if it weren't for 1 or 2 people who checked up on him.
One day he runs into the female protagonist. Or rather, she runs into him.
She's homeless and he decides to take her in as inspiration for his next novel. Instead of her becoming useless, her ability to kick ass and defend herself remains but she also opens up towards the protagonist and at times takes care of him. Hanging with her has the protagonist become slightly more social and he starts meeting all kinds of people because of her.

It's the perfect romance with amazing comedy and has probably the most heart warming heartfelt ending anime has to offer.

If this helps, Fate/Zero 2nd season is the only 10 I have in my list, so it's the only anime I find completely perfect. There are some anime that are close to perfecion, too. But that's subjective, anyway, so everyone has his own opinion.

Yada-yada, the usual disclaimer about nothing perfect or objective existing in the entire universe. Yes, as an avowed relativist and postmodernist it's something I subscribe to as well, but accepting the imperfect and subjective judgment of a mere human for a second for the sake of entertaining the premise, since we are all the central vantage point of perception for ourselves in this world, I would say this:

To me, I only consider one anime out of all I've seen to be perfect in the objective sense. Yes, I recognize that me viewing something as objectively perfect is still an inherently subjective proclamation and viewpoint, but I'm just answering the question from my own honest standpoint to the best of my ability. There is only one truly perfect anime in my eyes.

Following that, I have three other series which I view as, as in the more acknowledged subjective sense, "perfect enough" (yes, it sounds like an oxymoron or contradiction, I realize) or "perfect to me."

That is, to resolve this philosophical dilemma and remain intellectually honest, I still consider it possible to believe things are and assert things as true in this world, including in anime, even if you in the process implicitly acknowledge your stance is still one of many countless likewise fallible and flawed views also borne of limited fields of vision rather than an absolute and universal truth. The latter part is where seemingly the vast majority of people stumble and make a crucial error; pretensions of universal validity.

Speaking earnestly, I doubt I'll ever find another perfect anime, but I'm in bliss and on cloud nine just to have another three I consider "near perfect" or "basically perfect" following that; it's more than I ever could have expected.

And just to clarify one more point, a 10/10 rating being extended to an anime series or film doesn't translate to it being perfect. 10/10 does not equate to perfect in my book. It's more akin to MAL's own descriptor for the score, which is "masterpiece". I have several more masterpieces afforded a 10 rating which fall below the invisible and elusive line of perfection in my head.

Most anime aren’t perfect for everybody, but most anime are perfect to somebody. If you want to seek objective perfection, go learn some Calculus and Physics to learn how the universal physics and truth works. Calculations are, in fact, the most objective subject regarding its universal logic.

Meanwhile, in arts, perfections are based on relativity on one’s person and its value; however, there has to be a small sense of objectivity in order to achieve the relativity of somebody else. Without it, what can it make sense? If we can grasp something to achieve the theme of a certain anime, then we can see the perfection through our perception towards a certain anime. It’s called aesthetic value. That value is within yourself depending on your own perception. It can be shallow or understandable, either way, do we care about somebody’s opinion even though it’s either in vocal majority or in vocal minority?

Anime isn’t all about finding perfection, but it’s all about finding a perfect balance. Every anime shows have likes and dislikes from everybody’s viewpoint to know how their bias means either positively or negatively. As an audience, it’s all about being yourself to escape from reality by seeking how alternative reality works. In that way, you’ll find and achieve a spiritual value through your own immersion.

Happy watching! ;)
