Is there enough source material?

Suppose a Kid from the Last Dungeon Boonies Moved to a Starter Town (light novel)

Ok so i'm really looking forward to this anime, but... i just don't see how they can stretch the the anime out to even 12 episodes, as the manga has only two volumes, with 9 chapters in total. This might have been done before with other adaptations (in which case please let me know how they did it.)

I have not read the manga or LN, but a common trend for these fantasy shows appears to be that the manga only starts a bit before the anime, just soon enough so that they finish is a similar story part. The year gap lets the manga cover part of the next season so when the next season starts, they are once again about to cover where the next season finishes.

Three examples of this i can think of is Overlord and That Time I Got Reincarnated As A Slime, and The Misfit of Demon King Academy.

y'all realise that the anime is adapting the light novel not the manga right? the LN has more then enough material
