White Album 2, both times I watched it. The kind of show were I still felt it the next day and the second time really struck something in me. In both cases it was a while before I watched my next series.

Any of my favorites.

But within those especially my top four.

And within those especially my top two, Inuyasha and Koi Kaze, since I first watched them in 2016, they were my fourth and first anime series, respectively, ever completed, are still by far my favorite of all time, and considering I'm not over the "post-anime depression" phase them really and truly even four years later. Nothing has ever truly filled the void and no anime has hit me in the same way to the same extent.

Koi Kaze is understandable because it's an anomaly within anime being the only known incest-focused story which is treated as a serious psychological romantic drama which is both beautiful and bleak, radical and existential (usually the only genres which I feel reaching for the same place are cyberpunk/transhumanist Sci-Fi and cosmic horror) rather than a gag comedy as an ecchi or harem or for arousal as hentai/pornography, but I would think Inuyasha which was a lot more well known and popular, mainstream, long lasting, and successful would be much easier to find other anime for to replace which fill the same specific niche, but there also isn't anything really close to like it I've found. The closest I've found which remind me the most of Inuyasha in several respects, albeit much shorter, are Noragami and Mahoutsukai no Yome.

It's manga but after finishing Danshi Koukousei no Nichijou I was just shocked beacause I was so caught up in enjoying it so much and then just for it to be done.
I looked to see if the author was going to continue it, I was in denial. That got me for about a week.

Weirdly enough, Hidamari Sketch. It's not even one of my favorite anime. But I spent about a month watching every episode, and the series itself is framed around daily routine so the further along I got in the more it ingrained the idea that part of my routine was watching Hidamari Sketch. However, eventually there wasn't any left to watch. My daily routine didn't exist anymore. (It definitely wasn't helped any by the fact the last arc is the ol' "seniors graduating" arc AKA the "you're gonna have to move on with your life once we're gone" arc)

It depends

if it's about the anime being really sad "Shigatsu Wa Kimi no Uso" and "Ano hana"

if it's the thing like "my life will not be cool like this anime, this husbandos doesn't exist and wow my life's really boring and I don't have a motivation" Boku no Hero and Fruit Basket

I'm surprised no one mentioned Texhnolyze here.

Your Lie in April and Anohana (although Anohana got kind of farcical part way through).

5 Centimeters Per Second is quite melodramatic but leaves a lonely after note, I guess similar to Knight of Sidonia.

Holy shit guys. Man, now I fell kinda guilty about not being more sad about animes... Well I guess it would be after watching Darling in the Franxx. I felt deppressed for, well, a few hours. But I was really sad. The build-up to and ep 14 is the saddest shit I've seen. I was also sad after watching Angel Beats! and "rascal does not dream of a dreaming girl" but it didn't hurt as much as the middle of Darling in the Franxx.

I've never really expressed emotions too much and I guess I just move on really quickly.

Naruto and Naruto Shippuden as well as Dr.Stone and Hunter xHunter.

Naruto and Shippuden because it instantly became one of my favourites, was one of my firsts and I watched it literally everyday until I caught up to the fourth ninja war. I just felt so empty inside like what was I supposed to do now?

I was surprised how much of a hole Dr.Stone left in me. I just started it on whim but loved the series and got hooked on Senku and his never ceasing intellect. I'm stoked for the second season to air in January!

Hunter X Hunter was just great. I love it and the characters, I couldn't stop binge watching it and when I finished it I just felt sad.

I'm considering rewatching Hxh and Naruto but I have so many other anime shows to start and finish.
