Seriously, the only comedy series I enjoyed as much as Saiki is Sayonara Zetsubou-Sensei. They're both really funny without resorting to cliche jokes that most other "comedy" series are so full of.
I think one of the reasons Saiki is great is that it has a large cast of iconic characters. When it comes to comedy, the cast can make or break the series, and in the case of Saiki, the characters ARE the joke. They're the embodiment of some kind of trope but without being clichey since that's exactly what they're trying to make fun of.
The humor is clever, and relatable to anyone watching no matter what country they're from. I mention this because many series have a very 'Japanese' style of humor that anime fans overseas may not find funny.
