| During the last week, users may have experienced periods of 504 Gateway timeouts or other 500 Internal server errors, resulting in the website being inaccessible. We apologize for the inconvenience this downtime has caused everyone. As the situation has persisted longer than we expected, this post will try to explain a little of what's going on. Recently, we held an extended maintenance period to update our databases to increase performance. The result of this maintenance was quicker response times for page requests, leading to a faster website for our users. Unfortunately, the number of requests we've received since this increase in response time has been more than expected. So we are currently in a situation where sometimes the site cannot withstand the overload. Each time one of these overloads happen, users begin to get errors. However, each time these errors occur, our tech team also reviews the conditions which caused the overload and implements solutions so that it will not repeat in the future. Our tech team is reviewing the settings and measuring parameters everywhere on the website. It is highly possible it will take a little bit longer to tune the updated system, which means we likely will encounter a few more timeout periods. While tackling this problem, our tech team is also strengthening our monitoring systems which should make it possible to respond more rapidly to obstacles in the future. We deeply apologize for the unpredictability of the website over the last week and that we cannot yet promise it is completely over. Please rest assured that our tech team is doing everything possible to ensure a faster and more stable website for everyone. |

| Finally an announcement about this. I find it a little irresponsible to not immediately make an official statement when this kind of thing happens, considering you have people that actually pay you. Or is it that you don't care about users migrating out of frustration and giving you bad rep? |

| NGL i DID feel that mal started loading faster after the upgrade. But those 504 errors kinda felt like malpocalypse 2.0 >.< Well that was a scare. But you guys do your best fixing this. |
