 Hello everyone. It has been a long time. I hope you're all staying safe during the tumultuous year of 2020. I'm writing this post and sending it out to everyone to let you all know that something beautiful happened this week - something that has been in the works for many months now. I don't know how many of you are aware of this, but before Linkin Park, Chester was the lead singer of a band called Grey Daze. It was very early in Chester's career, but maybe some of you know a few songs from back then. The band recently got back together to honor Chester by re-recording early songs, breathing new life into the music that started it all. The result is a wonderful 11-track album called Amends, which finally released in its entirety last week on streaming platforms such as Spotify. You can also buy a physical copy on Universal Music's website or places like Amazon. If you guys miss Chester as much as I do, I wholeheartedly recommend giving this album a listen. It sounds fantastic and brings back a lot of memories. I remember listening to some of these songs many, many years ago. The new mixes sound great and you can feel the love everyone involved poured into this project. Alright, enough mushy-mushy. The album's fucking great. | Amends really is a great album. I'd never listened to Grey Daze before, so this is basically a completely new album for me. Feels good to hear Chester's voice again. I've been following Mike's solo stuff since the first singles, it's been super interesting to see him do this as a way to cope, and then turn it into an actual new music project. By the way, he's also streaming daily on twitch now! You can find him at https://www.twitch.tv/officialmikeshinoda The whole thing started as a way for him to not go crazy during the lockdown, and by now he's streaming pretty much daily. Pretty interesting if you want to see what creating a song actually looks like. |
