Thanks for the confirmation, currently into ep 3 and the animation is truly awesome, I've read the manga before and ouch it hurts seeing all those nut cracking moments animated to such quality |
| Yujiro is pretty fucking op, I remember this dude in the first Baki anime seriously gave me the chills. Also, based on the trailer alone, I don't think I like that muhhammad jr, annoying pick. |

| Damn, that was so awesome. Seems even more violent than last season. Yujiro ripped that guys flipping face off. This is probably gonna be split cour then, as I remember Netflix confirming more arcs than the tournament being adapted. But yeah animation and effects were top tier in this 1st episode. |

| Yesss, it's back! Gotta love the series' ridiculousness! Can't believe they made a reference to Muhammad Ali vs Antonio Inoki. That fight in real life was hilarious. Yuujirou was wild as hell after Mohammad ALAI Jr. straight up walked out on him. Wait, Dorian is participating? LOL. Honestly, I don't even know if I can break 10 rice crackers, Yuujirou. Sea King Ryu's abs are the size of a normal human's chest. Goddamn, and his vascularity... But it's too bad his opponent is Yuujirou. |

Inoki vs Ali was a weird and anticlimatic fight but it created the precedent of striker versus grappler match-up (that persists till today in modern MMA) and most importantly paved the way for the creation of Japanese Mixed Martial arts in Japan, under the Pancrase, Shooto and later PRIDE organizations. It was a very important fight, especially for the Japanese which at the time were trying to prove that their fighting styles were the strongest, Boxing versus "Catch wrestling". One of the first MMA fights in history, probably the first important one but i guess most viewers, will not even realize that the show is narrating a real life success that happened back in 1976, especially if they dont know much about the history of combat sports. Love how the author pays tribute to important figures of the history fight game while creating a realistic context on a pretty exaggerated show. | Goddamn, that first episode. THAT scene left he stunned for a few seconds, forgot how brutal this show is. It's just pure adrenaline, no holds barred anime that I've missed. |
| Great way to start the season. I still love the comedy in this show. Mohammad Jr. trolling Yujiro by leaving the room. Yujiro stomping with his feet on the floor and the guys at the hotel thought it was a terrorist attack. :D Later the spectators at the tournament talking about "a japanese guy is the victim" - they didn't know about Yujiro. Opening is nice. Edit: And Dorian? Lol. :D |
| Almost missed this new season. Already hyped for all the crazy fights to come (heck even Dorian is there). Gotta love Mohammed Alai Jr. for just leaving the room there while the almighty Yujiro was just lying on the ground waiting for an attack. Already expected Yujiro to be a lot stronger than the Grandmaster but that was just slaughter there, the old man only tried to do few attacks and was already massively countered. |

| It looks like Muhammad Ali Jr. owes Yujiro a proper counter to the Igari tactic lmao Allowing Yujiro Hanma of all people to participate in any fighting tournament, no matter how presitigious and powerful the participants are, was a gigantic mistake they'll never forget. It was shocking to see him rip out that old guy's face right away and it was even more surprising to see him try to get another blow on him even after that. |
