Why does MAL list only 85 chapters when there are 137?

I see on MAL that there are 22 volumes and 85 chapters yet on Anilist it lists 23 volumes and 137 chapters. If its 137 chapters why does MAL only go up to 85 it doesn't make sense to me. Can someone please explain to me.

This seems very stupid to me too and I don't know why this hasn't been changed yet. There are literally 23 volumes so why list only 21?

It seems like the chapter list is very arbitrary, because Tachiyomi says it's 23 volumes and 98 chapters. I think this is because the Dark Horse translation compiled several chapters together into single chapters while the japanese original releases didn't do that. Some of the volumes contain exclusive chapters or re-edited stories, which probably contributes to it as well. I didn't look up into it but I think these differences exist because the chapters were organized and reorganized differently depending on which version you're reading.
