I've been hearing about this anime for a long time, but never got around to watching it until recently. At first, I wasn't quite sure why it kept getting such rave reviews, but I thought it was a peaceful and beautiful anime, I loved the characters, the music (LOVED Yui Makino's OP songs, she has such a gentle and sweet voice, perfect for the anime!), and the gorgeous setting (I would seriously live in Neo-Venezia in a heartbeat), and I was more than glad to keep watching it.

By the time I got to the end... Oh my god. I am so sad I waited this long to watch this amazing show. I was a sobbing mess through the last 4-5 episodes, it was absolutely beautiful. I can't even think of any adequate words to say.

Everyone should watch this. It is truly a masterpiece.

Aria is not that great at personal drama. It's really much to saccharine to have any sort of deep emotional impact, and I liked it more when it was about enjoying the atmosphere of Neo Venezia. Ends without tears, or much of any reaction really, from me. Seeing grown up Akari was lovely though.

8/10 overall, just like the other Aria series.

My thoughts down to a tee.

The finale and Aria as a whole has the power to change how people think. Maybe it won't reach everyone, but it has certainly reached me and many others around the world. Only a few things has had that kind of effect on me. Aria teached me, or at least made me concious, about philosophies you can use to make your life better.

It's the best ending I've ever seen. I can't express it with word. All this episode was wonderful, and the last two minutes made me cry. I'll ever remember that I've watched Aria.

I'm going to read the manga now.

Such a wonderful series. Full of joyful and happy moments, and moments that brought me to tears. But ultimately, the most emotional moment was when I realized the series had ended.

This last episode couldn't have ended any better, it really had every emotion and feeling for the characters and the show! It was just amazing, the whole Aria series!

Just loved everything from it especially the relaxing atmosphere! And with an even bigger treat we've got to see a slight future of Aria company, with Ai-chan as apprentice and Akari as master!

Yea this was a really amazing series and there is still lots of possibilities for other seasons although I'd prefer that they fully stop here as the complete story finished perfectly here! For the whole series a Perfect 8/10!

absolutely brilliant, an outstanding conclusion to an amazing series. improves on its predecessor in absolutely every single way. this is how you end a series on a high note. theres only one other ending i can think of that i would consider as good as aria (TTGL) and that has galactic-universal level mech battles. for a SOL, especially of the variety of aria to have such a good ending is a true testament to how amazing this series was.
solid unbiased 10/10

BAAAAAAAWWWWW...

I stretched this series out as long as I could, knowing it was the end, but even still, I'm heartbroken that it's over. This show brought me so many heartwarming and peaceful feelings like nothing else in the world. Every time I was stressed or upset, I'd just throw on Aria and forget the world. It's a magical environment they were able to create and one that I will never forget.

*sniffle*

What a beautiful ending though... Everything comes full circle... BAAAAAWWWW

you could also watch the picture drama, its kind of silly overall, but the 7th episode is actually quite good. it takes place after akaris ending monologue, but before ai joins aria company.

if youre craving something else like aria, id recommend Tamayura it has a very similar vibe to aria, made by the same creator, and a new season started on monday.
theres 4 OVA's, a 12 episode season (+special) and 1 episode of s2 so far.

general consensus for those who have seen both seems to be that tamayura is as close as you'll get to another season of aria.

Well I just finished this series and I'm just left speechless. Never I have come upon something so peaceful and elegant. Ever since episode 9 I was a bit sad that I was close to finishing the series but just like everyone states, "All good things must come to an end" and Aria is the perfect example of that. I rarely post on episode discussions but I have to vent my thoughts for this amazing gem.

I've been a sucker anything slice of life and this basically sealed the deal for me. It's hands down the #1 anime I have ever seen EVER PERIOD. I'm almost certain nothing will top it once I search for more anime. The hype is real people. It easily slides to my #1 spot on my favorites...

I haven't re-watched anything aside from Samurai Champloo and I consider re-watching a complete waste of time but Aria is the exception. But this anime genuinely makes you appreciate life more. Just like how Alicia left, you can't do much but move on. Happiness comes in different mediums. Life is about making memories so you have something to recall upon once you become much older and this what Aria taught me.

10/10. Words cannot describe how beautiful this anime is. Blissful, peaceful, majestic, soothing, simple yet so perfect. I plan on visiting Venice, Italy once I get older just because of this anime.

For those of you reading you have been privileged to see something so amazing that most people haven't yet heard of. Cherish it!
Rest in beats.

I'm speechless.
Such a good series...
This episode had me in tears for the WHOLE 30 minutes. ALICIA-SAAAAAAN ;__; She's definitely my favorite character from the show (even though pretty much EVERY character is great) and seeing her parting was the saddest thing ever, but then you see her smiling again at Akari at the end and... ;A; this is too much for words.
Incredible series, this gets a 10/10 for me, I wish I could give it more though!

My only question is WHO THE HELL WAS ABLE TO SNAG ALICIA'S HEART!? Lucky bastard :P

I shouldn't have marathoned this series but the healing was too strong, if I'm ever feeling like crap one day I'm just going to turn on an episode of Aria

while i sometimes felt the same, aria just isnt the show you can marathon, its best enjoyed slowly.
and aria would be perfect for that if you had a shit day.
in fact, im pretty sure it was created for that very reason, the target audience was overstressed Japanese salarymen IIRC

It took me 8 months to complete the Origination since I started it..., that kinda shows how bad did I want to NOT finish this anime.

Spectacular ending to an already awsome franchise. The final 5 episodes had me in tears pretty much the whole time. 10/10, favorite, and I will keep it in my heart for a long, long time.

I think a comment I saw a while back best describes my feeling for Aria - that it's like watching your children grow. This has truly been a stunning series and experience, the finale had me counting the minutes and hoping it would never end. Alicia's retirement ceremony was beautiful. Seeing Akari grown up and Ai (so glad I saw Ai one more time hurray!) as her apprentice just took my breath away.

I think one of the main themes to take away from this is how the world and people around us change bit by bit. It's very gradual and on a day to day basis it's not noticeable, but one day you can finally see the transition. The passing of the torch to Akari is similar to how I watched this series over the span of a few months. I've just been watching an episode or 2 here and there and before I knew I was finally here.

The characters were all likable and I feel like I've personally met and befriended each and every one. There are so many values and ideas to take away from this, but one that I wanted to mention is how Aria took what I often overlook and take for granted and showed just how wonderful and important the small things are. It's definitely encouraged me to start thinking optimistically and looking for the beauty in normal life.

I don't think I even need to second guess this one - 10/10, definitely among my top 10 series now. I'll sincerely miss it, it's as if I've said farewell to my dearest friend.

I wish I could go back in time and re-watch the series from the beginning 100 times. Perfectly executed Slice of Life and this season along with it's last few episodes shows it. I love this show just too damn much, I was sad yet also happy to see it end. "All good things must come to an end, that way we can appreciate them."
