Some games can really get into our nerves, games that are challenging to the point that makes us insanely frustrated. I just recently played Dark Souls again, and I've gotta say that the start of the game is a true test of patience, I remember how much I struggled on my first playthrough.

I love some challenge myself, and there are some games out there that whether they are terrible, amazing, or somewhere in between, one thing they have in common is how infuriating they can get.

What was the last game that made you rage to the point that you wanted to throw your controller against the wall? It can be because of a glitch or its difficulty.

I think there are differences between games that are challenging and ones that are unfair. DS for instance is challenging, but at least fair (although I can only speak for 3rd and after). Lords of the Fallen was also challenging, but really felt unfair. If it's fair and challenging, I don't mind the difficulty too much, but when it's unfair (like say because of sloppy controls) then it's just rage quit inducing

OnRush is one that made me rage quit so many times because of how bad the gameplay is. If the platinum wasn't so easy I probably would've quickly deleted it
PAYDAY 2 on ps4 was also infuriating simply because of the clunky controls and sensitivity compared to PC.
I think I also ragequit in Trackmania Turbo because I really didn't like the gameplay :P

I come tomorrow the fighting game community. We have a dim view on rage quitting. I don’t rage quit. If I lose or I am losing I take my loss and try to do better next time. Can’t win them all. You’ve got to be bitch made to quit just because you think you are going to lose.

I'm ashamed but Super Smash Bro's Ultimate. Sometimes when I'm playing online and someone who just spams projectiles and beats me, sometimes I just rage quit. Because I know in terms of the game, I'm better than them and they used such a shit way to win.

I remember getting pretty frustrated with Bloodborne when I initially started it. It was my first Fromsoft game, and I kept getting my ass kicked for several hours. Though, it ended up becoming one of my favorite games and the first one I've platinumed.

Overwatch was another game that could get infuriating back when I used to play it.

The only game that I rage at now is Deemo when I try to full combo some of the harder songs.

Nothing is more frustrating when a perfectly calculated angles, trajectory involving wind speed, land slope combine with perfectly executed 3 keys combo just to miss the tiny hit bar and everything fall to pieces in Pangya.

Right, how can i forget the rubberbanding AI in racing games. A dead last AI can go Mach 2 speed to get back next to you under 20 seconds. Or that AI has perfectly handling driving the same car as mine, but i pushed my car way too hard while AI just whizz through like there's no weight.

F-Zero GX. One of the very few games that can I say that separates the men from the boys.

The game becomes super fun once you mastered the controls and all the techniques.

No game makes me rage quit other than poor development and/or shitty controls. I despise controls that do not register or are only quad-directional when you have a whole analog sticks that do 360 degrees move-set. I tried replaying The Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time, but I couldn't go further than 40% with the shitty controls and the awkward combat.

On Dark Souls, it's really not a very hard game unless you have problems with games generally. It is, however, very punishing if you don't know how to play. The first DS game is always the hardest, regardless of the number in the title.

It's difficult to think of games that were so hard that I had times I gave up on seeing them to full fruition but I think Furi is a good qualifier for this. (Amazing game btw)

War Thunder

This game, if you get too into it like me then you are bound to spend money to help you grind up to the modern stuff in a realistic amount of time, I personally spent ~$500 CAD over 2 years of playing, and can I say it was worth it? Yes because on steam it says I've played ~800 hours on it and I did have my fun moments, but the only problem is the game makes you rip out your hair day after day until you go bald with the annoyances you are constantly harassed with (the fucking helicopters... THE FUCKING HELICOPTERS AAAHHHHH-) but once you are that deep, there is no turning back, it's like a drug, you gotta go back and play more only to be disappointed.

Don't believe me? I can almost guarantee that anyone you ask that has played top tier matches in that game will agree with me.

Gundam Battle Operation 2:

-Constant disconnections
-Enemy players turning invisible because of bad connection
-Teammates doing melee / stun attacks on you
-GM Command and Gundam MK II (think of the most overused thing in any MP game, and this is GB02's equal)
-Team's full of same class

-Mimi Alpacas

-Tobiichi Origami

Only game would be Escape from Tarkov [albeit I don't really "rage" but it's pretty shit when you lose all your stuff].

Not to mention the gunplay and movement just feels clunky af, like I basically have a semi-professional background in csgo [not to the point of going to lans but in terms of cg and all that if I went the extra mile It'd be a none problem] and also a background with cod sniping back in the day [was in a 90k team and most of my old mates joined SoaR, L7 etc]

So like I have tons of experience with fps games but idk no idea what's wrong with tarkov, maybe it's because I play solo? who knows

Dota 2; I've abandoned like 10 or 20 times. I get tilted so easily. Either my fucking teammates play like shit or I just fuck shit up after winning my lane. It's so frustrating when you have like 20k lead and some random guy just goes alone in order to hit Neutral creeps and dies solo. Can't even understand the situation of the game.

TF2, not exactly the game itself (although sticky spam is fucking annoying) but its more the people that play tf2 not everyone but mainly toxic friendlies that kick you if you dont play the game the way they do ie. taunting in the corner and sucking each other off while crouching

The camera, rhythm for 8 minutes and the hidden last note... I still have nightmares and never want to do it again.

Dota 2 fuck that game i did rage quit 10-15 times at least but my play time is very high im not toxic or ragequitter normally but sometimes you just can't handle it.

Fifa series i had my ragequits during years at Fifa 18, 19 and 20 for sure i don't remember others but probably had more ragequits. I play at hardest possible and you all probably know Fifa can get irretating. I remember my recent rage quit at career mode it was CL final i had 16 shots 3 times hit the post dominated all game and barely scored 1 at min.70. My opponent had 2 shots 2 goals one of them from corner literally unstoppable good cross and ai is mostly great at headers... second one from 30m right into 90 despite defender pressing and pushing scorer ,minute was 85 so i just alt+f4 that shit and didn't played fifa since lol.

I hardly remember "ragequits" but Demon's Souls and Dark Souls back on PS3 driven me crazy.

More recent i can think of vanilla Dead or Alive 5 Survival Mode. I also had some hard times with Armored Core series but because it just another From Software game. xD

Drakengard 3 is an easy game overall... well, untill this boss. It makes you get friendly with the Game Over screen. xD

An Hack and Slash that turns into a some sort of rhythm game? Pure trollish. Probably one of the hardests boss i've ever faced in recent times but game is super easy.

I've never straight up rage quit on any game until I played God of War Ascension. Literally the first game I gave up on out of pure anger. Welp, I think I have a new game that made me ragequit: XCOM: Enemy Unknown. The high difficulty ranking is absurd even on the easiest difficulty, the alien that transforms you into a zombie is ridiculously overpowered, and sometimes the game becomes flat-out unfair.
