Some people in MAL who either has all objectively and unshittable favs or all normcore shit favs and the majority (95%+) is a mixed of those. While everything I liked is a hotspot for criticisms. I haven't seen more than a handful of people, who has more unique or on par in the diversity of favs compared to me. Tldr: I have an interesting taste, because I don't use other people's metrics of what to like. |

| We actually have a rule that new suggestions can't encourage elitism, which this clearly does. I would like a new way of weighting ratings that takes rating scale into account so that people who rate on a limited scale don't have the same influence as people who rate with a more full scale, but what you're suggesting just seems to be benefiting certain users and punishing others. |
