Violet and Major's Relationship

We all know that love is involved in their relationship. Major told Violet, "I love you." but what kind kind love is it? I feel like it's weird that he loves her romantically since at that time, he is 29 years old while Violet was only 14. Am I the only one who thinks the relationship is like a father to her daughter?

Also a friend of mine suggested Violet sees him as a big brother. What do you guys think?

I think it's the romantic love plus we still don't know Violet's actual age too so not too sure about the father-daughter relationship, but the big brother relationship maybe possible.

I feel they have a Father-Daughter relationship(because of the age difference and Major never clearly stated the type of "love", as mentioned in one of the previous messages).

But I wish Violet was a bit older and Major clearly stated the "love" so I see the relationship that I was wishing for them.
