My profs just finished making up their schedules and all my assignments are readings and papers, so there hasn't been too much trouble on my end. One of my professors canceled their midterm and final. Only thing I have had a hard time with is doing my work at home.

Don't know about distance learning but working from home sucks ass. Everybody should just get a paid vacation.

Most of my professors just send us a pdf with the course every week, plus maybe some homework which we're supposed to send by email. So far it's been going pretty well for me. And only one class which we're doing on skype, we're only five or six people so it's pretty chill. The bad part is that we still don't know what we'll do about the exams.

Better than actual classes. Better in the sense that there's no time cost of commuting to University and if I'm not interested I can just switch tabs. Many students have problems with understanding stuff, but I've always relied on studying from textbook or online sources so lectures being less than optimal is not a problem for me.

In my final semester now, and our only classes are student facilitated discussions, so we probably could have done this over Zoom regardless. I don't think this semester changed too much for me.

Well, it has almost been one week since my school has let us do online schooling and it is going alright. I don't like it because I feel useless being at home all day but I like when we have free periods or have finished work early because we can use it to play games/finish up on other work/watch anime.

school is having a hard time here since majority of students have little to no tech at home

not me personally, but i heard other students weren't as productive because they can't focus at home

hasn't been working that well at all

It's just a lot to get used to and it's too sudden of a change in environment for me.

I'm still getting used to it. I gotta get used to checking for all my assignments online while still being busy with work. Almost missed one assignment but I remembered to check on our online class portal and still had some time to work on it.

Here, it is pretty much the opposite, as it doesn't seem so easy for teachers to get used to all the changes, resulting in lower productivity, in general. However, online assignments have been numerous, so far.

I don't like it, but I'm adapting. My professors don't want us to get up or anything but it's just me and my grandma at her house and she can't stand up on her own. I need to answer the door because:

1. We're not in the best neighborhood. Over here, if you don't answer the door then sometimes people take that as a sign to break in (thinking that no one is home).

2. My grandma gets meal deliveries that come any time between 11 am and 2pm, and of course my classes are sometimes during that time. If we don't answer the door, they cancel her from getting meal deliveries ever again.

So I need to answer the door... but I also lose class time. I dunno, it's a pretty crappy system right now. I'm thinking of maybe leaving our front door open just with the screen door locked so if the doorbell rings I can shout at them to wait for however long until my class ends. If the meal delivery comes during class then I'm just going to have to answer.;; I don't know. I'm still figuring it all out.;; I have a presentation for one of my next classes, so I hope no one comes while I'm presenting.;; Some of my professors just get so mad.;; Like, dang.

Also, motivation for studying has pretty much gone out the window for now. I'm not exactly comfortable at my grandma's house yet as I just got here last Sunday. Also, I was already having trouble concentrating at actual home anyway; I did a lot of my homework at work. So I dunno, I just can't get my head on for this. I was going to do homework all day, and now it's almost dark and I've just been here on MAL all day.;; I just really need to get into gear...

My professors make us put our cameras on. Dunno what they're doing about the folks who don't have their cameras on grade wise or anything, but they give them a lot of crap. It's kinda ridiculous. I know they want to make sure people aren't just off doing something else in the house while the lecture's going, but come on. The people respond every time they're called on. They're there.

All my school has done is provide an "online learning resource", which doesn't even have the whole curriculum and is missing most of the courses I'm taking at the moment.
Some of you never watched Bakugan Battle Brawlers on TeleToon in 2008 and it shows.

i cant concentrate. i end up doing my work late in the night because it's the only time my brain can properly work but that's even if end up working. my stupid lizard brain just cannot stand still and it pisses me off. not to mention that quarantine and other mental health issues are making it worse.

still, i prefer this to school

It sucks a lot.
I'm supposed to be writing up 2 essays and a dissertation when all I can do all day is be stuck in the house, so I'd rather not...
I'll do it, but I'd rather it be worked on at the college itself. I procrastinate way too often.

I personally like the freedom I have to work at my own pace, rather than going by a strict day-to-day schedule that involves being in a classroom for 3 hours to learn what I could in 1.

It's actual ass dawg. Honestly, I've never lost so much faith in humanity as hard as I did with my teachers doing distance learning. In my school we have a different site than other people and our teachers aren't using the site to its full potential so instead of using the calendar to write the assignments' due dates( and there's a ton of them to do), they send us private messages, and more often than not, they would also give us assignment through our class reps which makes the whole thing a massive headache. I'm super salty honestly :reeeee:
we do a little bit of headbanging here
