I watched the first 9 episodes didn't really like it. High fantasy in anime/manga is rarely done right.

Slayers is awesome, great humor and fantasy. I loved the first three series. The movies were just "okay" for me but still fun. The newer two seasons I also liked. I read the light novel series and it was also very good, but I actually prefer the anime.

The first two series were great, particularly Next, but I had trouble getting through Try. It took a literal year for me to get through Try. I can't pinpoint why exactly either; I enjoyed it when I'd finally sit down to watch it, but I never anticipated watching it again after a few episodes until I forced myself to finish it a few months ago.

I'm sure eventually I'll get to Revolution.

Now I have seen a bit of it, since my memory is very blurred from many years ago, and I heard once it's like crackheads playing DnD. And I absolute could imagine that the rest will look like it.

Like... we try to play it seriously and have serious moments, but in the end they flirt all with shop keeper and my Tabaxi looks for like 20 minutes to get a box big enough to sleep in, because cats do what they gotta do. Then they get drunk in a bar and sell a magic key item per accident.

I expect that Slayers radiates the same energy haha
Normally I love fantasy anime more with serious tones (not solely tho), but I hope this will get some ridiculous adventures and stuff with some serious moments.
